Cleansing balm with a clean rinse: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal
In short
This is a cleansing balm from HEEDA that I used on my dry skin, especially around my nose where blackheads and rough texture had been bothering me. After emulsifying it with water and rinsing, it felt fresh and clean without much slippery or heavy residue, though this is based on my own experience.

Was it worth trying if I dislike the slippery feel of cleansing oil?

I had tried cleansing oils a few times before, but I rarely reached for them because of their slippery feel and the sense that something was left behind after washing. I was concerned that a cleansing balm would be similar, but this firm balm felt like it melted smoothly as I massaged it in.

After wetting my hands, emulsifying it thoroughly, and rinsing, I felt almost no slippery or heavy residue. I dislike the feeling of a layer left behind after cleansing, so I was happy with the fresh, squeaky-clean finish.

How did I use it around my nose on dry skin?

I have dry skin, with a lot of blackheads on my nose, and recently I had also been concerned about the rough, bumpy texture on and beside it. On some makeup days, the area around my nose was not smooth, so my base makeup did not apply evenly.

I applied an appropriate amount to my dry, bare face and slowly massaged it over my whole face. I worked more carefully around my nose and beside it; once the balm warmed against my skin, it softened like an oil and was easy to use.

How did I emulsify and rinse it?

After massaging it in thoroughly, I did not rinse it off right away. Instead, I added small amounts of water to my hands and continued massaging gently. Once the clear oil-like texture had emulsified and turned milky, I rinsed several times with lukewarm water.

- I applied the cleansing balm to my dry face and massaged it in.
- I added water gradually to emulsify it.
- I rinsed thoroughly with lukewarm water.

How did my skin feel after cleansing?

What I liked most was that my skin felt clean afterward without feeling tight. Even though I had avoided oil-based cleansers because of the typical slippery feel of cleansing oil, I could use this one without feeling burdened. If you have dry skin and dislike post-wash residue or are concerned about texture around your nose, my experience may be useful as a reference.
