In short

Geumsong Deokmi Haeridan-gil Branch is a handmade dessert café on the second floor of a building on Haeridan-gil in Haeundae, Busan. Visiting with her husband and children, the writer ordered an iced Americano and an iced vanilla latte made with the Nutty beans, along with white peach tiramisu, Oreo cheesecake and mango granita, and the mango granita, piled with fresh mango, was the one her child finished first. Desserts and drinks at Geumsong Deokmi, a Haeridan-gil café in Haeundae

After a delicious lunch during our Haeundae, Busan trip, it felt too early to just head back to the hotel. I'd heard Haeridan-gil had become a really hot spot in Haeundae lately, so we decided to take a slow walk around with my husband and kids. As we strolled, so many pretty cafés and restaurants caught my eye, and since we wanted more than just coffee that day, we headed to Geumsong Deokmi, a Haeridan-gil café in Haeundae! I'd heard it had a wide variety of desserts and a great atmosphere, so it seemed like a good place to rest during our family trip. Here's my real review of the fun time we had with my husband and kids at Geumsong Deokmi!

How to find Geumsong Deokmi on the 2nd floor of Haeridan-gil

Geumsong Deokmi's Haeundae branch is on the second floor of a building on Haeridan-gil, and it was easy to find since it's close to the old Haeundae Station.

At the entrance leading up to the second floor, posters of various desserts were on display, which caught my eye.

Before going, I looked up reviews of Geumsong Deokmi and found that a professional pastry chef makes hand-made desserts using seasonal ingredients, consistently offering tiramisu, cheesecake and seasonal desserts — which got me excited.

When we visited, a lot of people were already there. Once inside, there were more people than I expected, most of the seats were taken, and there was even a wait — I thought, 'this really is a popular dessert spot.'

Window seats over the old Haeundae Station walking path

Geumsong Deokmi is described as a space that reinterprets a modern European hotel and concierge desk in Deokmi's own way. Being on the second floor, it has a great view too — the lush green scenery of the old Haeundae Station walking path spreads out below. Sitting by the window, you can naturally see green trees and people walking along the path, and during the day, soft natural light streams through the windows, making the space feel even warmer and prettier.

Even the ordering area felt different from a typical café — it had a distinctive vibe, almost like being guided by a hotel concierge. The interior was clean and stylish, great for photos, and from the window seats you could see tall trees and people passing by on Haeridan-gil, making it a relaxing place to spend some time.

What's in the dessert case at Geumsong Deokmi

Another thing that caught my eye at this Haeundae Haeridan-gil café was the dessert display case. Realistic dessert models were placed alongside the real ones, so I could compare menu options at a glance — tiramisu, cheesecake, scones, and more, making it hard to pick just one!

Geumsong Deokmi's scones also come in collection box packaging, which seemed great for taking desserts home while touring Haeridan-gil, or for gifts. The price wasn't too much of a burden either, and since it's a well-known dessert spot, the taste is basically guaranteed, haha.

On the wall, there was also a discount notice for a crème brûlée French toast and Americano set — it looked so delicious that I want to try it next time.

What our family ordered, and why we chose the Nutty beans

At this Haeundae Haeridan-gil café, you could choose from three coffee beans: seasonal Fruity with acidity, Nutty with a deep, rich roasted-nut flavor, and Decaf for a smooth taste with less caffeine. My husband and I both usually prefer roasty beans, so we went straight for the Nutty option without hesitation.

Since we came with the kids, we ordered an iced vanilla latte, iced Americano, white peach tiramisu, mango granita, and Oreo cheesecake! At a dessert spot like this, picking just one is way too cruel ㅠ_ㅠ

Three desserts and coffee on the table

My husband and I, who usually prefer roasty beans, were won over by the rich, deep flavor of the coffee right away!! From the first sip, subtle nutty aromas and roastiness spread out, and the bitterness finished clean without being overwhelming. Coffee this good would go well with any dessert, I thought.

Oreo cheesecake: thick, dense and rich

The first thing that caught my eye was the Oreo cheesecake. Cutting into a slice, I could feel the characteristic dense yet moist texture of cheesecake.

In the mouth, the rich cream cheese's roasty, soft flavor comes first, and here and there the Oreo adds a sweet, slightly bitter taste and crunchy texture, giving it a different charm than a simply sweet cheesecake. It was easy to see right away why it's the best-selling dessert at this Haeundae Haeridan-gil café!!

White peach tiramisu topped with pink peach slices

The white peach tiramisu was gorgeous just to look at. Pink fresh peach slices were placed on top, with plenty of hand-made tiramisu cream piled over them — just looking at it, you could tell it would be soft and sweet.

Taking a spoonful, the peach's fresh, sweet juice spread between the moist sponge and soft tiramisu cream, making it much lighter to eat than I expected. The richness of the cream combined with the peach's fresh, fragrant flavor was simply amazing!!! Geumsong Deokmi apparently offers not just classic tiramisu but seasonal tiramisu made with strawberry, peach, mango, fig, chestnut and other seasonal ingredients. Since the menu changes with the season, it's fun to look forward to something new every visit!

Mango granita, the dessert our child finished first

The dish our child enjoyed most that day was the mango granita. I ordered it because it was billed as the seasonal signature menu, and it was packed with cool, sweet mango-flavored sorbet inside, with fresh mango topping generously piled on top.

With one bite, the ice crystals melted away smoothly, releasing a rich, sweet-tart mango flavor. Best of all, the mango topping on top was so generous it felt like eating a small, single-serving mango bingsu (shaved ice dessert).

It was cool and sweet, perfect for eating while walking along Haeridan-gil on a hot day, and my child kept the spoon going the whole time haha. We tried it too, and since it was fresh mango, it was seriously so delicious!

Is Geumsong Deokmi worth a rest stop on Haeridan-gil?

Geumsong Deokmi wasn't just a place to grab a cup of coffee — it was a spot to enjoy a variety of hand-made desserts and coffee together in a beautiful space. Above all, the space was comfortable for taking a break while walking Haeridan-gil, and thanks to the distinctive interior reminiscent of a hotel concierge, just spending time in the café felt like part of the trip itself.

Even visiting with my husband and kids, we could stay without feeling out of place, and it also seemed like a great atmosphere for couples or friends to visit and take photos. If you're visiting Haeridan-gil during a trip to Haeundae, Busan, and looking for a Haeundae Haeridan-gil café with a great atmosphere where you can enjoy not just coffee but truly delicious seasonal desserts, I highly recommend Geumsong Deokmi!!
