In short
Gogikkun Gimchunbae Hongdae Supgil Branch (고기꾼김춘배) is a hanwoo (Korean beef) and hanbon (Korean pork) BBQ restaurant on Gyeongui Line Forest Park between Hongdae and Sinchon in Seoul, where staff grill the meat for you. On a tired weekend evening, a meat-loving writer and a partner with a small appetite shared the hanwoo/hanbon set for two (600g, 109,000 won), half-and-half naengmyeon and kkakdugi fried rice. A Hongdae BBQ place where they grill for you: the hanwoo-hanbon set at Gogikkun, a great date spot on Gyeongui Line Forest Park

Why a couple with opposite appetites chose Gogikkun on a weekend evening
On a weekend evening, my partner and I ate hanwoo and hanbon (Korean beef and Korean pork) at Gogikkun Gimchunbae Hongdae Supgil Branch (고기꾼김춘배 숲길직영점) on Gyeongui Line Forest Park. I'd be perfectly happy with meat on the table all week long, while my small-appetite partner puts the spoon down after a few bites. We couldn't be more different in how we eat, but on those weekends when tiredness weighs on our shoulders, we somehow click as if we'd agreed in advance.
"Shall we have really good meat tonight?" I'd been singing that line for days, and my partner smiled and took my hand. The place we headed to is Gogikkun Gimchunbae Hongdae Supgil Branch, a hidden gem on Gyeongui Line Forest Park between Hongdae and Sinchon, where fresh greenery settles in cozily.
Getting to Gogikkun Hongdae Supgil Branch, and parking
The restaurant is 500m from Sinchon Station (Line 2) Exit 8, about a 6–7 minute walk, and 400m from Seogangdae Station (Gyeongui-Jungang Line) Exit 2, about 5 minutes on foot. For parking you can use a public lot nearby, but using the Hyundai Department Store at Sinchon Station is another good option!

According to the store info at the end of the original post, it's 521m, a 6-minute walk, from Hongik Univ. Station (Line 2, Airport Railroad, Gyeongui-Jungang Line) Exit 6, and a 7-minute walk from Sinchon Station Exit 7. Because it sits on the Forest Park, the restaurant has no parking; you can park at the nearby Sinchon off-street lot (5 minutes on foot) or Donggyo 3 public lot (8 minutes). Hours are daily 12:00–23:00, with last order at 22:00.
The mood at Gogikkun after a stroll along Gyeongui Line Forest Park
Walk along the park chatting quietly and you'll find a calm, peaceful air quite different from the busy heart of Hongdae, and Gogikkun Hongdae Supgil Branch sits right there on one side of the path.

The moment we opened the door, we felt the smell of charcoal and the warm lighting. The interior isn't overdone, just comfortable and neat, and the space works for everything from a casual date to group seating for gatherings with friends.
What's on the Gogikkun menu?
Gogikkun Hongdae Supgil Branch lets you try a variety of hanwoo and hanbon cuts at reasonable prices. There are also à la carte grilled items, sides and meal dishes.

Ordering the hanwoo/hanbon set for two, half-and-half naengmyeon and kkakdugi fried rice
We ordered the set that lets you enjoy hanwoo and hanbon together: the hanwoo/hanbon set for two (600g) at ₩109,000. It's a generous 600g set of pork neck + ribs + today's hanwoo.

- Hanwoo/hanbon set for two (600g), ₩109,000: pork neck + ribs + today's hanwoo
- Half-and-half naengmyeon, ₩7,000: a finishing dish with mul naengmyeon (cold broth noodles) and bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed noodles) in one
- Kkakdugi fried rice, ₩8,000: the must-have finish, a nutty kkakdugi (radish kimchi) fried rice

A meal can't end without fried rice, right~ Our pick was Gogikkun's signature and most substantial set, the hanwoo-hanbon set for two. Add kkakdugi rice for the carb finish, plus half-and-half naengmyeon to rescue us from our indecision between mul and bibim, and the lineup for a perfect feast was complete.

How was the staff grilling?
At Gogikkun Hongdae Supgil Branch, a skilled staff member flips and cuts the meat at the perfect timing. However good the meat, how it tastes depends hugely on who grills it and how, and thanks to the staff grilling, you don't have to worry about splattering oil or burning the meat!

Finishing with kkakdugi fried rice and half-and-half naengmyeon
After enjoying plenty of meat, we finished with kkakdugi fried rice. The spicy-sweet seasoning with crunchy kkakdugi, and the half-and-half naengmyeon that beats even jjamjjamyeon (the half-jjajangmyeon, half-jjamppong combo), wrapped up the meal perfectly.
Is Gogikkun Hongdae Supgil Branch worth going back to?
A hearty set that lets you enjoy hanwoo and hanbon at once, plus staff grilling~ on a day you're craving meat, enjoy proper hanwoo and hanbon at Gogikkun Hongdae Supgil Branch. With a good meal and the leisure of Gyeongui Line Forest Park on top, you can end the day satisfied. :)
