What's the atmosphere and the study seating like?
The café is clean and modern, with solo study seats on one side that have a 2-hour time limit. Walking in, I felt a tidy, modern vibe overall. It isn't flashy or overwhelming, just comfortable for anyone, so it works alone and also seemed fine for chatting with a friend.

There are solo study seats off to the side, so it looks like a good café to study in around Sinnonhyeon. The study seats are limited to 2 hours.

How wide is the menu?
The menu runs from basics like espresso, americano and café latte, to specialty drinks where you choose the bean, such as a Geisha americano or Blue Mountain americano, to non-coffee drinks. The menu was far more varied than I expected. With seasonal drinks, non-coffee lattes, smoothies, frappes, ades, tea and cleanse juices, there's a wide range, so even people who don't drink coffee can visit comfortably.

I deliberated for ages over so many choices. This time I ordered a mocha americano, a Geisha americano and a chicken sandwich, but next time I'd like to try bakery items like a croffle or a bagel too. It suits a quick coffee stop, and it's also a good place to relax over drinks and bakery treats.

Bakery and deli menu
The bakery and deli menu was impressively varied too. There are light bites that go well in the café, like croegle and croffle (croissant-waffle pastries), salt bread, bagels and cookies, plus meal-worthy items like a chicken sandwich and salads. With so many desserts, it's easy to pair with coffee, and it felt like a satisfying lineup for brunch or a late lunch.

How did the mocha americano and Geisha americano taste?
This time I ordered a mocha americano and a Geisha americano. Coffee alone felt like it might not be enough, so I added a chicken sandwich too.

I started with the mocha americano. Unlike a regular americano, it had a subtle chocolate aroma while the coffee's own flavor still came through. It wasn't just sweet; it balanced with the coffee's bitterness, so it was easy to drink. If you like sweet coffee but find very sweet drinks too much, I think you'd be happy with it.
Next was the Geisha americano. I'd often heard Geisha beans smell wonderful, and having tried it, I get why so many coffee lovers seek it out. From the first sip it had a clean aroma and gentle flavor unlike regular beans, and a fragrant aftertaste lingered in my mouth long after.

Is the chicken sandwich good enough for brunch?
The chicken sandwich has moist chicken and vegetables in soft bread, and it was a good brunch with coffee. The sandwich I ordered with the coffee was better than I expected. The bread was soft, and the chicken inside wasn't dry but moist. With vegetables in it, the textures varied, and the sauce wasn't overdone, so the balance was good. It's fine for a light meal, and with coffee it felt like a filling brunch.

Do I recommend Selecto Coffee as a Sinnonhyeon Station café?
Overall, I was happy with both the coffee and the food, and it felt like an easy café to drop into. If you're looking for a café near Sinnonhyeon Station with good coffee, it's worth a visit. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to try different beans, and since you can have a simple meal too, it's a very practical café.
Next time I'd like to try other beans and desserts too. This visit was satisfying enough for any coffee lover, and if you want a comfortable place to rest in Sinnonhyeon, it's worth remembering.
