Cheongdam men's hair salon: side down perm and part cut, Anew Hair

Today I'm sharing my visit to Anew Hair Cheongdam Main Branch, known as a great hair consultation salon in Gangnam and a go-to spot for dye jobs 😊 I'd been going back and forth on what to do with my hair, so this time I had a proper consultation matched to my face shape and current hair condition, then got a cut and a down perm! Let me show you how the style turned out~

Anew Hair Cheongdam Main Branch sits in the Cheongdam area! The clean-looking storefront already got me excited before I even walked in haha. It's close to Nonhyeon-dong, so it was easy to find! It's on the 2nd floor, so I took the elevator up!

Inside, the whole place felt clean but comfortable! The seats were well arranged so I could get the service without feeling rushed, and even on my first visit I could relax and just leave my hair in their hands haha.

How does the hair consulting at Anew Hair work?

The consultation at Anew Hair Cheongdam Main Branch wasn't just about hearing what style I wanted — they also asked about my current hair condition and how I usually style it. What I liked was that they didn't just listen to what style I wanted and stop there; they carefully asked about my current hair condition and how I usually take care of it! Thanks to that, we could talk through what style would actually suit my hair and figure out a direction together, which made the whole thing feel more comfortable haha 😊

This time I got a side down perm along with a haircut designed to let my part fall naturally~!

Before getting into the actual service, we started with a hairstyle consultation! I mentioned the things that had bothered me about styling my hair and the look I wanted, and they explained step by step what direction would work with my current hair haha.

They also had a device that could check scalp condition right away, so I could get a thorough look at my scalp before the service! You don't usually get to see your own scalp condition directly, so it was pretty fascinating to see it on screen, and useful info to keep in mind for scalp care going forward 😊 Once the consultation and scalp diagnosis were done, I got even more curious about what style I'd end up with, and the real service began!

After tidying up my hair with the cut, they went straight into the side down perm! They worked so the side hair was pressed down naturally, tidying up the whole hairline~! Instead of looking oddly flat, the volume settled in a natural way that I really liked haha. Once the down perm was done, the side line was clearly sharper and the whole style looked much more put together!

After the side down perm, there was a bit of waiting time during the heat treatment process! While I waited, they set me up with a cold drink and some light snacks, so I could relax and enjoy them haha. I had to wait a bit for the heat treatment, but sipping a drink and snacking made the time fly by faster than I expected. Little touches like this made the waiting comfortable and not boring at all!

Final styling and how the part turned out

After the service, they finished by setting the hairstyle nicely! Even though it was just a cut and a down perm, adding the final styling really changed the whole vibe haha. They set the part line naturally and tidied up the overall silhouette, so I was happy looking in the mirror! Best of all, it didn't look overly done — a natural, easy-falling style that I could see myself wearing without any fuss on an everyday basis!

Overall, the flow from consultation to cut, down perm, and final styling felt natural, so I could relax and let them handle my hair haha. I liked that we talked through the style I wanted while they helped find a direction that suited my hair, and having the part set naturally at the end really changed the mood — it put me in a good mood haha.

With the cut and down perm both finished, I took one last photo in front of the mirror! I had a style in mind going in, and it turned out just the way I wanted, so I was really happy! The part line was clean and the side hair was neatly settled, which clearly changed the whole overall vibe! It had been a while since I walked out with a style I actually loved, so I finished up in a great mood haha.
