In short
Long Time No See Dangsan Branch is a pizza and craft beer pub on the 2nd floor of a food alley near Dangsan Station in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, where a wristband lets you pour your own beer. After a first round of yangdaechang (grilled beef tripe and intestines), the writer went on a friend's recommendation and enjoyed a handmade pizza set made with 72-hour aged dough and self-tap lager. Why I picked Long Time No See Dangsan Branch for a second round after Dangsan Station
Long Time No See Dangsan Branch is the pizza and craft beer place my friend and I headed to for round two, after a first round of yangdaechang (grilled beef intestines) near Dangsan Station. After a hearty, delicious first round, we wanted a light, cold beer to keep catching up, so we went looking for a second spot and landed on Long Time No See Dangsan Branch, which has a reputation as a great place in Dangsan.

We'd eaten so much meat at the first place that I wanted something not too heavy, with a trendy vibe, where I could have tasty pizza with craft beer. My friend recommended this place so strongly that we headed over without a second thought.

Where is Long Time No See Dangsan Branch, and is it easy to find?
Long Time No See Dangsan Branch is on the 2nd floor of a building deep in the food alley near Dangsan Station, and the big sign made it easy to find even on a first visit. The building's exterior caught my eye right away: a cozy, vintage, wood-toned look with a big lit-up sign, so we found it in one go without wandering around.
The banner by the entrance advertised handmade pizza made with top-grade dough fermented for 72 hours and stretched by hand, plus set menus with a variety of craft beers at reasonable prices. I was already drooling before we even went in.

Is the atmosphere good for talking?
Inside Long Time No See Dangsan Branch was much bigger and more pleasant than I expected, with warm lighting and roomy spacing between tables. The first thing that surprised me when we walked in was how spacious it was.

Wide tables were laid out comfortably under soft, warm lighting, and the place was lively with people like us on a light second round, as well as groups out for gatherings and company dinners.

Unlike those loud, stuffy bars, the mood was cozy and relaxed, which made it a perfect setting to chat over drinks.

How does the self-pour beer tap work at Long Time No See?
At Long Time No See Dangsan Branch, you get a wristband when you sit down, then pour the beer you want, in the amount you want, from the craft beer dispensers on the wall. A staff member handed us the menu and kindly explained how everything works.
They gave us smart wristbands to wear, and that's what you use at the long row of dispensers along one wall. Each beer tap's screen showed the origin, ABV, bitterness level and price per 10ml in great detail, so just browsing was a lot of fun.

From Cabrew Premium Lager to domestic beers and craft pale lager, there was plenty of fun in choosing by taste. To go with the cool, crisp beer, we ordered the handmade pizza set, the best-seller.

How was the pizza made with 72-hour aged dough?
The handmade pizza set at Long Time No See Dangsan Branch was chewy and crispy all the way to the crust, so even I, who dislike the bread ends, ate every bit. Soon the pizza, made from top-grade dough cold-aged and fermented for 72 hours and hand-stretched and baked after we ordered, arrived on a big tray looking delicious.
Toppings were piled generously on the golden-baked cheese, and the savory smell rising from the fresh-out-of-the-oven pizza hit my nose hard. I picked up a slice and took a big bite, and it was honestly the kind of taste that makes you gasp.
It's on another level from regular franchise pizza dough: chewy and crispy right to the edge of the crust, so even someone like me who doesn't love the crust ate it all. The fresh sweetness of the tomato sauce and the rich, melty savoriness of the cheese were perfectly balanced, which made it the best possible snack with beer.

One gulp of foamy lager I'd poured myself from the cold tap, then a bite of fresh pizza, and it felt like all the fatigue and stress built up over the day just vanished.

My friend kept praising it too, saying there's no better place for a second round and asking how the pizza dough could be this chewy and good.
Would I recommend Long Time No See Dangsan Branch for a second round in Dangsan?
Long Time No See Dangsan Branch beat my expectations on atmosphere, self-pour craft beer and pizza quality, so I recommend it as a second-round spot near Dangsan Station. The hip, cozy interior, the unusual craft beer system where pouring it yourself is half the fun, and the flawless quality of the 72-hour aged pizza that's delicious down to the crust all left me more than satisfied.

Even though my friend and I were both full, we cleanly finished a whole pizza and left in a great mood.

If you want a good time near Dangsan Station with failure-proof pizza and cold craft beer, I'd strongly recommend Long Time No See Dangsan Branch.
