Macho Nacho pepperoni pizza nachos takeout with a highball

Now that the weather's cooling down, it's such a good time to go to the Han River. That day, before heading to Mangwon Hangang Park, I was looking for something to grab and eat, and I stopped by Macho Nacho, a nacho spot near Mangwon.

Every time I go to the Han River I usually grab chicken or pizza, but this time I was craving something a bit different. There happened to be a nacho specialty restaurant near Mangwon Hangang Park, so I went straight there.

I got the pepperoni pizza nachos and a peach tree highball to go, and it was way more filling than I expected — perfect for eating by the river 💚

Inside Macho Nacho: the room and the drinks list

There's a big Macho Nacho character right at the entrance, so it wasn't hard to find, and you could check the menu from outside too.

Inside, there were seats set up for dine-in as well. The place isn't huge, but it has a cozy, comfortable atmosphere — it'd be nice to swing by just for nachos and a beer too.

They also had a good range of drinks, from draft beer to highballs and cocktails, so it could be a good pick if you're looking for a Mangwon bar for beer.

Ordering the pepperoni pizza nachos for 15,900 won

True to being a nacho specialty spot, Macho Nacho had more variety than I expected, and I picked the pepperoni pizza nachos for ₩15,900 as soon as I saw the menu.

I already love pepperoni pizza, so pepperoni on nachos? Couldn't resist that haha. It's basically nachos loaded with cheese and pepperoni, and the moment I opened the container, I was surprised at how legit it looked — way beyond what I imagined.

There was so much cheese piled on that you could barely see the nachos underneath, and plenty of pepperoni on top of that. The cheese was baked to a nice golden brown, and there was a generous amount of sauce too — visually, it was hard for this combo to be anything but delicious.

I thought it'd just be nacho chips with a light dip of cheese sauce, but it was completely different.

How do Macho Nacho's cheese-loaded pepperoni pizza nachos taste?

Eating the crispy nachos with cheese and pepperoni together, it really tasted like eating actual pepperoni pizza — rich and full-flavored.

The salty pepperoni paired really well with the savory cheese, and with the sauce mixed in too, I kept reaching for more.

What I liked most was how generous the cheese was. It wasn't just piled onto a few pieces — it was spread thick throughout, so it stayed delicious to the very last bite. The portion was bigger than I expected too.

I ordered it thinking I'd just have it as a light snack by the river, but I ended up pretty full haha. It was less of a light snack and more of a proper drinking dish. It was plenty for two people to share alongside a highball 👍

Adding a peach tree highball to the takeout order

Nachos alone felt like it wasn't quite enough, so I also got a peach tree highball to go from Macho Nacho.

When you go to the Han River, buying food and drinks separately can be a hassle, so being able to get it all packed up together in one place was really convenient.

Since the pepperoni pizza nachos were pretty salty and rich from all the cheese and pepperoni, the sweet, refreshing peach tree highball paired really well with it. One bite of nachos, one sip of highball — perfect combo haha.

They also sell draft beer in-store, and at ₩4,000 the price was pretty good too. I thought next time it might be nice to skip takeout and just order nachos with a draft beer in the store 🖤

Is Macho Nacho good takeout for Mangwon Hangang Park?

There are so many options for takeout near Mangwon Hangang Park, but if you've been sticking to chicken or pizza every time, Macho Nacho is a good alternative.

The pepperoni pizza nachos I had were loaded with toppings, so they felt more like a proper drinking dish than a snack, and being able to grab the peach tree highball at the same time made things even more convenient.

Since delivery is available too, it's also a good option if you're looking for delivery in Mangwon-dong, and it was a good stop before heading to Mangwon Hangang Park for takeout.

I went with the pepperoni pizza nachos and peach tree highball combo, and I was satisfied. If you're into cheese and pepperoni, this would especially suit you! The portion was also bigger than expected, so it worked well split between two people.

I want to grab this again for another Han River trip before it gets any colder :)
