Taqueros is at 16 Magokjungang 6-ro, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, Unit 202 on the 2nd floor of Magok GMG Tower, and it takes less than 5 minutes on foot from Magok Station. It's near Seoul Botanic Park, so it works well as a stop after a day at the park.

• Parking: 2 hours covered in the building's above-ground car park

What is the Taqueros atmosphere like for a date?

The restaurant is quite spacious and the interior feels stylish, so the mood was perfect for a date. I went on a weekday evening after work with my sister, just to treat ourselves to a nice atmosphere! 🤍 hehe

This Seoul Botanic Park restaurant has so much room that it seems great for a cozy couples' date, but also for special occasions like a wedding invitation get-together or an upcoming birthday party with a group, haha.

What did we order for dinner at Taqueros?

I visited in the evening, hesitated over the menu, and ordered the Taqueros Signature Couple Set (₩59,000)!! The lunch sets are also so well put together and such good value that I bet they're really popular with office workers nearby.

The à la carte menu has plenty of choices too, from tacos to Texas chili fries, ribs, chimichangas, and all kinds of enchiladas and quesadillas, so keep that in mind if you're visiting!!

Swapping the set drink to an apple mango ade, with a discount

In the couple set I swapped the drink for an apple mango ade. It's normally ₩5,000, but they discount it to ₩3,500 when added to a set, and that thoughtful touch made me order with an even better mood, hehe. A place that looks after value like that!!

Also, for wedding invitation get-togethers or birthday parties they apparently give you a mini lime basil cake, so just write it in when you book through Naver!!

How are the nacho cheese sauce and tacos at Taqueros?

The nachos and apple mango ade came out first, and the cheese sauce served with the nachos was seriously thick and rich, so delicious... 🤍 The ade was sweet and refreshing too, a perfect match for the slight spiciness of Mexican food!

The tacos are an insane lineup!! You get one fish taco and one chicken taco, and both were way better than I expected!! I love chicken, so the chicken taco was totally my taste, but my sister said the fish taco was amazing, hehe.

The fish taco comes topped with freshly fried fish, like the kind in fish and chips, so crispy outside and juicy inside, a work of art! So if you visit this Magok date spot, you must order both the fish taco and the chicken taco!!

How generous are the ribs at Taqueros?

The ribs, the main dish of the couple set, came piled generously on a full plate, and the glossy house sauce was insane!! My sister and I gasped at the same time the moment we saw them...!! 🤍

One bite and I had to admit Taqueros is a real rib place!! The sauce isn't harsh but is bursting with savory depth, so even though I was full I couldn't stop, lol.

Dip the fries in the leftover nacho cheese sauce

The side of fries also came freshly fried, super crunchy and hot, and dipping them in the cheese sauce left over from the nachos was unbelievably good!! 🤍

Who would I recommend Taqueros to?

If you want a hearty Mexican meal in a nice setting, or you're looking for a no-fail date spot in Magok, I really highly recommend Taqueros! hehe
