Inside Munhwa Bakery and the breads on offer

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the toasty smell of freshly baked bread.

The shelves were full of all kinds of baked goods, so many that it was hard to decide what to pick.

There was everything from the signature garlic bread to onion bagels, coffee bread and sliced bread. Each one felt carefully made, and they looked so tempting that choosing was half the fun. How does Munhwa Bakery's signature garlic bread taste?

Munhwa Bakery's garlic bread is the signature item: crisp outside, moist inside, with a strong garlic flavor. It was the one I was most looking forward to, so I reached for it first. I usually like garlic bread, and I prefer it moist like this rather than too hard.

One bite and I understood why it's the signature. It was really moist, and they didn't skimp on the sauce at all. It still wasn't cloying, and I felt it was the best bread I've had recently. Next time I'm near Jongno 3-ga, I'm definitely stopping by for this garlic bread again!!!

Munhwa Bakery's peanut bun: is it very sweet?

The peanut bun at Munhwa Bakery wasn't too sweet, with a plain, rich peanut flavor. Leon picked this one, and it was a really, truly peanutty peanut bun. It was full of nutty aroma that spread the more you chewed, which made it great with coffee.

Munhwa Bakery doesn't seem to hold back on the filling. And even with this much cream inside, it never felt greasy or heavy. It really feels like bread made by an owner who is serious about bread!

Munhwa Bakery's cheese bun: how much cheese is inside?

The cheese bun at Munhwa Bakery was packed with chee~~~se. The salty cheese flavor inside the chewy bread tasted mild yet kept me thinking about it. I'd never seen a bakery that fills its bread with this much cream or cheese. And it wasn't over the top or unappetizing either, it was really, really good. I truly want to eat it again.

My number one is the garlic bread! But the other breads were so good too, so next time I'll get the garlic bread again and try other kinds as well.
