Yangpyeong bakery café for a drive with Mom: Pistache by Capore
In short
Pistache by Capore is a large bakery café with Han River views on Gangnam-ro in Gangha-myeon, Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi. On a drive with her mom, the writer tried Pistache by Capore's signature pistachio latte, a pistachio mocha and the owner's recommended new pistachio red bean porridge bread (danpatjuk-ppang), then explored the four-floor gallery building and the outdoor terrace. The latte and bread were so good that they were gone just 20 minutes after lunch, making Pistache by Capore a Yangpyeong café worth a return trip.

What are Pistache by Capore's hours and parking like?
Pistache by Capore, a large café in Yangpyeong, is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00, with last order at 19:30. I went with my mom on a drive around Yangpyeong, and true to its reputation as a great large café for a drive, there's plenty of parking.

Where's the entrance to Pistache by Capore?
The spot you see right after parking isn't actually the entrance to Pistache by Capore. Head up the stairs right beside it, and you'll arrive at this must-visit Yangpyeong café with a beautiful view of the Han River.
Once you climb the stairs, you'll see the café entrance along with an outdoor terrace that takes in the whole river view.

Go into the first building you see to order your drinks and desserts, and you get access to the entire gallery building. The gallery building itself spans four floors — this is a truly large Yangpyeong café.

What did we order at Pistache by Capore?
Looking over the Pistache by Capore menu, I went with the signature pistachio latte! My mom ordered the pistachio mocha.

Pistache by Capore was so good I genuinely want to go back and try more menu items.

And on the owner's strong recommendation, we also ordered the new pistachio red bean porridge bread.
A butter bar on top of the pistachio latte
The owner added a butter bar on top of my pistachio latte. The rich, savory butter flavor and sweet aroma really came through, and it paired beautifully with the pistachio.

After seeing how good the latte and butter bar looked, I suddenly craved that outdoor view! I rushed over so I could enjoy it while looking at the Han River.
What does the new pistachio red bean bread taste like?
The pistachio red bean porridge bread is Pistache by Capore's new item, packed with pistachios that add a nutty edge to the soft red bean filling. It was my first time trying this kind of bread.

This is the new pistachio red bean bread the owner so strongly recommended at this large Yangpyeong café, and the look of it makes it clear why. Sorry for my clumsy photography haha.
Biting into the soft, moist bread, you first taste the sweet red bean, and then the pistachios on top add a nutty, crunchy texture.
With so much pistachio packed in, every bite brought out that great balance between the soft, pistachio-studded red bean and the bread — that was the highlight!
It had only been 20 minutes since lunch, but I'd finished off both the latte and the bread... It was so good that even though it's a bit messy, I wanted proof that I ate it all.

Pistache by Capore's dessert and bread display
This large Yangpyeong café, Pistache by Capore, has tons and tons of desserts too.

Dessert breads I want to come back for once I'm hungry again and my wallet's a little fuller... I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend this as a must-visit Yangpyeong café.

The famous Pistache by Capore breads were displayed so beautifully that it was hard to hold myself back.

Pistache by Capore's gallery building and 4th-floor outdoor terrace
Pistache by Capore's gallery building is well known as a must-visit Yangpyeong café, and on the day I visited, there was even a wedding photo shoot happening. So that explained all the props around.
The 3rd floor of the gallery building also doubles as an exhibition space, though there wasn't an exhibition that day, so it felt like it was just running as a café.
And here's the outdoor terrace on the 4th floor of the gallery building.

The view from the 4th-floor terrace was so pretty. With the weather being so nice lately, I feel like sipping coffee while looking out at nature and the Han River spread out before you would feel like total freedom. I'd forgotten sunscreen though, so I had to retreat indoors…

Meeting a kitten and Mac at Pistache by Capore
On my way to retreat indoors, I ran into an adorable kitten. It didn't suddenly dart out or anything, but still, seeing it felt like such good luck — a real friendly cat!
Mac, I honestly thought you were a stuffed animal at first!! This dog-friendly Yangpyeong café, Pistache by Capore, always has the lovely Mac around.
