Is it a good Chinese restaurant for eating alone near Sangdong Station?
Glory Works was a Chinese restaurant near Sangdong Station where I could eat alone without feeling awkward. You know those days when you suddenly crave a spicy, hot broth? That day I was so hungry that I went looking for a place nearby and ended up at Glory Works. Honestly I had no big expectations, but when I walked out I thought, I have to come back here! I'd gone in just looking for a solo meal spot in Sangdong, Bucheon, and it was comfortable to eat alone, which I loved.

There were other people dining alone like me, and office workers kept coming in for lunch, so it seems to be an already well-known Chinese restaurant in Bucheon around Sangdong Station.

Inside Glory Works it was clean and bright overall :) The tables were neatly kept, so visiting alone wasn't uncomfortable at all. Perfect for a solo meal!

What I ordered at Glory Works and the menu
At Glory Works in Bucheon I ordered the Glory Jjamppong Rice and fried dumplings! I was so hungry that spicy broth plus crispy dumplings was impossible to resist. The portions were big and I got really full, haha.
The Glory Works menu had a wide range, from jjajang (black bean sauce noodles) and jjamppong to fried rice and tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork), so it's also a good spot for an office group lunch.

Looking at the next table, it seems you get kkotppang (flower buns) if you write a Naver review?! But... I decided to finish my fried dumplings first and think about it later, so I passed! If you come with a group, remember the receipt review too, haha. Kkotppang dipped in condensed milk is heavenly, right?
How were the ingredients and broth of the Glory Jjamppong Rice?
The Glory Jjamppong Rice at Glory Works came out quickly after a short wait, and my first thought on seeing it was... so many ingredients! Many places serve jjamppong rice that is mostly broth, but Glory Works really doesn't hold back on the ingredients.

The Glory Jjamppong at Glory Works comes generously loaded with brisket and shrimp, plus roe and milt (fish sperm sacs), so I was happy with it from the look alone.

The broth was spicy with a deep savory flavor, and with the first spoonful I felt my stomach settle right away! The brisket was rich, the shrimp springy, and the roe and milt were fresh with no fishy taste. I really enjoyed them.

With so many ingredients, even eating it with rice I never felt it running short to the end. I thought, so this is why so many people come to this Bucheon Chinese restaurant, haha.

Dip the fried dumplings in the jjamppong broth
The Glory Works fried dumplings (₩6,000) I ordered with it were great too! Crispy outside and moist inside, and dipping them lightly in the jjamppong broth was a really good combination. Every bite keeps that crispy texture, haha.

Lunchtime visit and value for money
Food comes out fast at Glory Works, so it looked fine for a lunchtime visit near Sangdong Station. I could see why it gets so crowded. Everything was tasty, the broth was clean, and the brisket, shrimp, roe and milt were all satisfying, so the price didn't feel wasteful at all. After finishing the bowl I felt really full, like I'd properly taken care of a meal.

The jjasai (pickled Chinese mustard stem) was good too, so I kept eating it with the dumplings, haha. Eating out has gotten so expensive lately that value for money matters, and Glory Works was satisfying with good taste and generous portions. On a day you crave spicy broth, I recommend Glory Works, a Sangdong Station favorite.

What I want to try next at Glory Works
Next time at Glory Works I plan to try the jjajangmyeon or the tangsuyuk! The Glory Jjamppong Rice was so satisfying that I naturally look forward to the other dishes too~! Since it's summer, it seems they've launched Chinese cold noodles as well?

If you're looking for tasty Chinese food near Sangdong Station, Glory Works, a Bucheon Chinese restaurant for a hearty meal, is worth a visit.
