Breakfast bread at a Yangju bakery café: squid ink crunch at Doasis

In short

Doasis is a large bakery café on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a building on Hwahap-ro in Yangju, Gyeonggi. The writer arrived at opening time with her mother on her younger sibling's day off, ordering three drinks, including a black sesame cream latte, plus squid ink crunch, basil tomato bread, garlic baguette and a cream cheese mocha bun for breakfast. With a plant-filled space, big breads at fair prices and a spacious parking lot, Doasis is a great place in Yangju for morning bread and coffee.

My sister took a day off this time, so we headed to Yangju! I'd heard there was a genuinely huge bakery café in Yangju and I was curious. It really lived up to the name Doasis — a true oasis in the middle of the city, haha. Let me introduce Doasis-! There's a wide variety of bread and the space itself is so big it's great for group visits too. The whole place is filled with plants, so it felt kind of healing too 🍀

Doasis location, hours, and parking

Doasis is on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a building at 25-5 Hwahap-ro 1402beon-gil, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, and it's open 10:00-23:00 (last order 22:00). Wi-Fi, parking, takeout, group seating, reservations, and high chairs are all available.

Once you spot this building, you've arrived~~ The parking lot was huge too. I don't think you need to worry about parking at all, haha.

After parking, walk out and turn left and there's the entrance! There's an elevator too~~ Doasis is on the 2nd floor. Unfortunately, pets aren't allowed inside ㅠㅠ!

What are the 2nd- and 3rd-floor seats like?

The 2nd floor at Doasis has all kinds of seating, and there are even shoes-off seats, which seemed great for going with kids. It was seriously huge. Anyway, this is the vibe of the 2nd floor!!! I loved that there were so many different types of seating. There's also a spot where you take your shoes off, haha. That kind of spot seems perfect for going with a child! There are stuffed animals here and there too, and it looked like the owner keeps everything well cared for.

You can go up to the 3rd floor, but since we visited right when it opened, the 3rd floor wasn't open to guests yet~~ I just took photos.

This is the vibe of the 3rd floor~ Even with the lights off, it looked bright from natural light.

Anyway, kids would probably love those stuffed animals, haha. My grown-up sister loved them too ^_^(?)

What we ordered at Doasis and the prices

We ordered three drinks and four kinds of bread at Doasis, all iced, and the bread ranged from ₩5,500 to ₩7,500. The bread pieces were huge, but the prices weren't as high as I expected! Let's start with the order~! There are seriously so many kinds of bakery items, right?!? Everything looked delicious and, most of all, the price range was so reasonable!!!!!! 😮 So we picked four breads for breakfast.. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

  • Black sesame cream latte ₩8,300
  • Caramel macchiato ₩7,800
  • Café mocha ₩7,800 (+₩500 extra whipped cream)
  • Ink crunch ₩7,500
  • Basil tomato ₩7,000
  • Cream cheese mocha bun ₩5,500
  • Garlic baguette ₩5,500

We ordered all the drinks iced. This would also be a great spot to enjoy brunch with pizza, pasta, or salad!

Fun fact: at Doasis, an AI bread scanner automatically calculates the price of your bread.... 😮😮 There are also tons of autographs on the wall~~ Proof this is a legit popular spot!!

How was the black sesame cream latte, caramel macchiato, and café mocha?

The black sesame cream latte at Doasis had nutty cream that went really well with the latte. That's my sister's caramel macchiato~ she said it was delicious, eating it for the first time in a while, haha. This is the café mocha my mom had. She added whipped cream, and they piled it on so generously! And here's my black sesame cream latte! The cream is nutty and pairs really well with the latte.

Which of the 4 breads at Doasis was the best?

Basil tomato: my sister's top pick

The basil tomato bread at Doasis (₩7,000) blends basil flavor and tomato flavor really well, and it was my sister's top pick!! If you like Starbucks' basil tomato bagel, you'll definitely love this.

Ink crunch

The ink crunch (₩7,500) at Doasis has a really noticeable nutty flavor~ I'm not sure if what's inside is cheese or rice cake.. but it's so delicious

Garlic baguette: my top pick

This was my personal top pick, the garlic baguette (₩5,500)! Generous sauce, and it isn't too hard.

The cream cheese mocha bun (₩5,500) was tasty too, haha.

Packing up leftovers and amenities

At Doasis, you can pack up any leftover bread yourself at the self-service packing station, and amenities like the nursing room are also well set up!!! We ended up finishing everything on the spot ^_^ This is a place I'd love to visit again if I'm ever back in Yangju, haha. If you're looking for a large café in Yangju or the best bakery in Yangju, I recommend Doasis-! 🥰
