Gil151 sells a variety of breads, including salt bread (a buttery roll with sea salt), so it'd be great to order some when you're really hungry!

There were lots of kinds of cake and plenty of signature drinks too!

They even have a Balmuda toaster, so you can have your bread warmed up!

The inside of Gil151 is cozy, and sunlight comes in through big picture windows. You can see the hanok outside the window, which is pretty, and the seats are spaced far apart, so it was great for chatting!

Summer Road and Grain Storehouse: only 2 Summer Road drinks left at 11 AM

We ordered Gil151's signature drinks, Summer Road (Yeoreumgil, 여름길) and Grain Storehouse (Gokssik Changgo, 곡식창고). We got there a little after 11, which is early, and they already said only 2 Summer Road drinks were left!

I wondered if Grain Storehouse was misugaru (roasted grain powder drink), so I asked, and they said it's a drink with far more grains than misugaru, plus hazelnut! I usually like misugaru, so I took on the Grain Storehouse! My boyfriend went with Summer Road.

We were hungry, so we also ordered a blueberry pie and chestnut bread!

Grain Storehouse seonsik (₩7,500): taste and how to drink it

This is the Grain Storehouse I ordered! The Grain Storehouse seonsik (roasted grain drink) is ₩7,500, and you grind the sesame that comes with it and pour it into the drink. The taste is a healthy misugaru flavor! Super rich, with a really strong grain taste! hehehe

Summer-only Summer Road (₩8,500): taste and how to drink it

This is the Summer Road my boyfriend ordered! Summer Road is ₩8,500, a summer-only plum soda topped with homemade plum syrup and plum gelato. They told us to scoop up the homemade plum gelato on top first, then mix it well with the plum syrup, and the taste was weirdly like a slightly plum-flavored Milkis (a Korean milky soda)?!

Jeongja pavilion outdoor seats at Gil151: not too hot in summer?

The outdoor seats at Gil151 have a Jeongja (traditional pavilion) and fans. After sitting inside, I wanted to enjoy some time outside, so we went out, and personally the view from the Jeongja was so pretty!

I get hot easily so I was worried, but the weather was cooler than expected and the outdoor seats had fans, so I wasn't hot at all! Perfect weather, sitting together in a lovely spot, I felt so good~~ Of course, we'd been fighting right up until we got to the café, haha

Gil151 is near Vivaldi Park, so if you like hanok cafés it's a perfect stop before heading home. If you like a calm, quiet hanok atmosphere, you'll probably love it!
