Cleansing balm for oily, dehydrated skin: HEEDA Jirisan

Did you switch because your skin felt dry after cleansing?

In cold weather, my skin felt especially dry. Even with basic skincare products and face masks, it did not improve, so I remembered how extremely dry my skin felt after cleansing and decided to start by changing my makeup cleanser.

After using cleansing oil for a long time, I tried HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm, which I had seen recommended for oily yet dehydrated skin. The product I received had about two years left before its expiration date.

How are the container and spatula designed?

Fitting for a product that uses charcoal as its main ingredient, it came in a black box and black container. My hands tend to get slippery when I use cleansing products, so I liked how the matte container felt to hold.

There was a plastic spatula inside the lid, and I could store it by fitting it into the groove on top of the lid. A plastic protective stopper to prevent product damage was also in place, which I removed before first use.

How did I use this firm cleansing balm?

The balm was so firm that my finger would not sink into it when pressed, and it melted little by little with the warmth of my hand. I needed to scoop it with the spatula, but the spatula went in smoothly, so it was not difficult to take out the amount I wanted.

To remove all my face makeup at once, including light eye makeup, I scooped out a generous amount onto the back of my hand, gently melted it with the warmth of my hands and face, and spread it over my entire face.

How did it feel after makeup cleansing?

It melted well as I spread it, and after massaging it in, I rinsed it off with water. I was particularly satisfied that it removed my makeup while leaving my skin feeling moisturized after washing.
