Yomo (요모, 四方) is a handmade yakitori izakaya on Yanghakcheon-ro in Yanghak-dong, Pohang, right beside the Cheolgilsup railway park walking trail. At a window seat, orders are pencilled onto a handwritten clipboard sheet: chicken thigh-and-scallion yakitori, cheese tsukune served with a 3-minute hourglass, and grilled cod roe with cucumber, all paired with Asahi draft beer. Chung-sil Hoegwan is a Korean grill restaurant on the main road of Chotmaeul in Hansol-dong, Sejong, specializing in fresh samgyeopsal (raw pork belly) and galbi kimchi stew. A couple came for dinner and ordered both, and the meal arrived with seafood mulhoe (chilled raw fish soup) and seasoned grilled kodari (half-dried pollock) as free side dishes, then stone-pot rice cooked to order and nurungji sungnyung (scorched rice tea). Pohang mulhoe restaurant with the 4-step eating method: Ppwang Mulhoe

Ppwang Mulhoe is an ocean-view mulhoe (raw fish in chilled broth) restaurant in the Seolmeori Mulhoe district of Pohang, directly across the coastal road from Yeongildae Beach. We ordered squid mulhoe, the Ppwang Mulhoe 3-Combo of live squid, flounder and seasonal mixed fish, and meongge (sea squirt), then followed the restaurant's guided 4 steps exactly: mix it like hoe-muchim, pour in the icy broth, add somyeon noodles, and finish with rice, all alongside an unlimited self-bar of about 10 side dishes and squid radish soup. It was a mulhoe spread that delivered on both flavor and sheer volume.
