Saturday family lunch at Gwanpyeong-dong kalguksu restaurant Yongja 1
Yongja 1 Gwanpyeong Branch is a Korean restaurant in Gwanpyeong-dong, Yuseong, Daejeon, serving kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) made with noodles cut in-house and hand-pinched dumplings. On a Saturday lunch for three with her parents, the writer ordered one bowl of kalguksu at 9,000 won and two bowls of kalmandu-guk (noodle and dumpling soup) at 10,000 won each, and each portion was almost too much for one person to finish. The thin-skinned kimchi dumplings were the most memorable part of the meal at Yongja 1 Gwanpyeong Branch.
