Sindo Kalguksu Jungchon branch is a 60-year-old kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup) restaurant in Jungchon-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon. The noodles came out chewy and broth-soaked, and the tofu duruchigi (spicy braised tofu), a Daejeon specialty, brought a sharp, savory heat that paired well with the mild soup. Sindo Kalguksu has its own parking lot, so driving is easy, but the dining room fills up at meal times, so arrive a little early.
