Cheongju rice cake shop 100-day set for a baby photo table: Tteokmama
Tteokmama Cheongju Yullyang Branch is a rice cake shop on Gonghang-ro in Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju, specialising in baegil-tteok (100-day) and dol-tteok (first birthday) sets. Three days before the baby's 100-day photo shoot, the writer phoned in the Sobok set (45,000 won: baekseolgi steamed rice cake, susu-patdeok sorghum red bean cake and flat honey tteok) and had the Chinese character for 100 added to the baekseolgi; Tteokmama made it that morning and packed it warm, so even the studio staff asked where it came from. Far fuller than the fake display rice cakes, and the verdict is that real 100-day tteok was worth ordering.
