Getting to Nokdo Susan at Daecheon Port Fish Market and parking
When visiting Nokdo Susan, use the parking lot in front of Mud Mart—it is right in front of the shop, so that is the lot to use! 🚘
On a recent trip to Daecheon, I stopped by Nokdo Susan (녹도수산), units 57 and 58 at Daecheon Port Fish Market, to pack up some seafood. The owner was so kind, and even the packing was done so carefully, so I 100 percent want to come back—and had to recommend it!!!!
After parking, walk just a tiny bit in from the entrance and you will see Nokdo Susan with its yellow sign 👀 The sign is such a noticeable color that it was easy to spot. Both units 57 and 58 are the same Nokdo Susan!!!!
What were the tanks and seafood selection like?
The tank water was so clear and incredibly clean 🫢 Even without seeing the everyday upkeep firsthand, I could tell they take great care of the placeㅠㅠ👏🏻👍🏻 Nokdo Susan has more than just sashimi: there were blue crabs, shrimp, squid, sea squirts, sea cucumbers, and all kinds of shellfish ready to go.
I already knew what I wanted to buy that day, so I did not get to try the sashimi. But seeing everything swimming in the tanks made me want to try it next time?! I am coming back next time to pack up some sashimi 🫣

Packing two squid sashimi and 1 kg of sea snails
That day, we ordered 🦑 two squid sashimi plus 🐚 1 kg of sora (sea snails) to take away. The squid was ₩20,000 each, and the sea snails were ₩30,000 per kg.
The owner said one sea snail was not in very good condition and took ₩5,000 off, so we paid ₩25,000!!! They boil the sea snails when you buy them haha. Once they are cooked, the owner prepares them personally. My precious sea snails for precious me to eat,, 🐚💗
Sweet, chewy squid sashimi at the accommodation
They packed everything so carefully in a Styrofoam box that getting it back to the accommodation was not inconvenient at all. As soon as I opened it, I was surprised once by how appetizing the squid sashimi looked, then again by the incredibly generous portion 🥹👏🏻👏🏻
They even included two containers of chojang (sweet-and-tangy red chili dipping sauce), so we could eat without running out. The squid sashimi was rich and chewy, and so delicious 🤤 It felt like a waste to eat such delicious squid sashimi with only chojang, so I bought chilies and perilla leaves separately at the mart haha. I think it was the sweetest squid sashimi I have had this yearㅠㅠ
