Jokbal takeout in Chungju: half original, half garlic at Deomasitneun
Deomasitneun Jokbal Bossam Seochungju Branch is a fire-grilled jokbal (pig's trotters) restaurant in Jungangtap-myeon, Chungju. On a hot, humid day the writer called ahead and picked up a half-and-half order of original and garlic jokbal to eat at home: the original jokbal was tender with no gamey smell, the garlic jokbal was sweet and savory enough to keep the chopsticks moving, and a complimentary makguksu (chilled buckwheat noodles) came with it. A solid takeout pick for an easy dinner after work instead of cooking.
