Cheonan budae-jjigae restaurant for a hangover: Cheongwon Sikdang
Cheongwon Sikdang (Cheongwon Restaurant: Cooking Budae-jjigae, Cheonan Dujeong Main Branch) is a budae-jjigae (army stew) restaurant in Dujeong-dong, Cheonan, serving Songtan-style stew and a Cheongwon version made with cheongyang chili. Arriving right after opening at 11:10am the morning after drinking, the writer ordered two portions of Cheongwon budae-jjigae (12,000 won each) with a glass noodle add-on (2,000 won) and received the free egg roll given to guests who arrive before 11:30am. With a fiery broth plus unlimited ramen noodles and rice, Cheongwon Sikdang works as both a hangover cure and a filling lunch.
