Low Five Anguk: where to eat pizza and pasta together in Anguk

Low Five Anguk is a Western restaurant on Bukchon-ro near Anguk Station where you can have pizza and pasta in one meal. Today's post is a review of the pizza and pasta I enjoyed there! (It was totally my taste, so I highly recommend it 🫶)

Anguk and Bukchon have so many great restaurants and so many places with a nice atmosphere that choosing is always a dilemma, right? I was looking for somewhere to eat in Anguk this time and ended up visiting Low Five Anguk.

I liked the menu lineup since you can get pizza and pasta in the same place, and above all it's great for ordering several dishes and sharing.

What I ordered at Low Five Anguk

I ordered three dishes at Low Five Anguk that day: a half-and-half pizza, truffle cream pasta and a classic Caesar salad ✨

  • Half-and-half pizza (corn pizza + hot chili potato pizza)
  • Truffle cream pasta
  • Classic Caesar salad
Ordered dishes: half-and-half pizza, truffle cream pasta and Caesar salad

Why I recommend half-and-half pizza on a first visit

At a pizza place you're visiting for the first time, I think half-and-half beats ordering a single flavor by a lot. You get to try two flavors at once, so there's less pressure choosing, and it's fun comparing the different tastes haha

Corn pizza: the nutty, sweet side

We picked corn pizza and hot chili potato pizza for our halves. First, the corn pizza! A lot of people love corn pizza these days, right? (That's me.) I like that nutty, sweetish corn flavor, so one half went to corn pizza without a second thought 🌽

When you eat a whole pizza in one flavor, you can get a little tired of it halfway through, but pairing a mild one like the corn pizza with something stronger like the hot chili potato made it easy to alternate. I thought, good call on the half-and-half, haha

Hot chili potato pizza: the stronger side

And the other half was the hot chili potato pizza! The name alone feels totally different from the corn pizza 🔥 With corn on one side and hot chili potato on the other, the flavors go in different directions, so even within one pizza there was variety, which I loved.

When several people share a pizza, tastes can differ, and half-and-half clearly has an advantage there. Especially if you go with a friend or on a date, each picking the flavor you want is the best ❤️

If it's your first time at Low Five Anguk, I strongly recommend trying two flavors at once with a half-and-half pizza 🐰

How was the truffle cream pasta at Low Five Anguk?

The truffle cream pasta we ordered alongside at Low Five Anguk had a seriously strong truffle aroma the moment it arrived. Pizza alone is plenty good, but at a pizza place I always want to order at least one pasta too, haha

If you like cream pasta, a truffle version is bound to catch your eye. Eating it with the pizza made the whole spread feel much richer. A bite of pizza, then pasta, then back to pizza: I loved that flow 🫶

Even though pizza is the main thing, it doesn't feel like the other options are lacking: you can add pasta too, so it works well as a full meal.

Balancing it out with the classic Caesar salad

I also ordered the classic Caesar salad at Low Five Anguk that day 🥗 Pizza and cream pasta together can get heavy overall. Eating salad in between made the whole meal feel properly balanced.

Personally, I like adding a salad when eating Western dishes like these. A pizza + pasta + salad combo is good for sharing among several people, and you can alternate between dishes, which makes it more satisfying.

This time's combination was exactly like that. Much more variety than just eating pizza!

Is Low Five Anguk good for a date meal in Anguk or Bukchon?

I think Low Five Anguk is a good choice for people on a date in Anguk or looking for a meal while exploring Bukchon. There are plenty of Korean and traditional-style restaurants around Anguk, but sometimes you just crave pizza or pasta, right? It's a nice change of pace for those times!

If you like ordering several dishes and sharing, I think you'll be even happier. Personally, the half-and-half pizza was my favorite that day. With corn pizza on one side and hot chili potato pizza on the other, the big plus was enjoying two completely different flavors in one pizza.

Add the truffle cream pasta and you really get to enjoy the pizza and pasta combo, and with the classic Caesar salad the whole set feels more stable! All three played different roles, so the combination worked. The pizza holds the center, the pasta fills you up a bit more, and the salad tidies things up in between, haha
