Why I chose Eoeum-ri Photo Studio in Aewol, Jeju
Eoeum-ri Photo Studio (어음리 사진관 스튜디오) in Eoeum-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju lets you do outdoor shoots by a stone wall and hackberry tree as well as indoor studio shoots. I was on a trip with five friends I finally had time to travel with, and we wanted to fill it with special memories, so after a lot of searching for a soulful photo studio in Jeju, we ended up here.

We wanted natural Jeju snap-style results rather than stiff, formulaic studio shots, and Eoeum-ri Photo Studio turned out to be a magical place that gave us the perfect answer, both outdoors and indoors.
This was a friendship trip with dear friends from our school days, who finally managed to line up their schedules, so we wanted to capture every single moment beautifully in the frame.

Is parking easy for a group?
Eoeum-ri Photo Studio has a roomy parking area in its front yard, so even vans or large rental cars carrying a group can park comfortably and safely. It was handy for the six of us traveling in one car.
We all love taking photos but each have firm tastes, so we were really careful just choosing where to shoot. Since this Aewol studio was a hidden gem we'd dug up, everyone smiled the moment we stepped through the entrance, thanks to how cozy the space felt.

Following the friendly photographer's guidance around the studio, we could feel in our bones that its distinctive charm, capturing a local aesthetic, was totally different from the artificial studios in the usual posts floating around online.

🌿 How was the outdoor shoot at the stone wall and hackberry tree?
The highlight of the shoot at Eoeum-ri Photo Studio was the outdoor space with a real Jeju stone wall and a huge hackberry tree (paengnamu). As soon as the shoot started, we could see with our own eyes why this place is spreading by word of mouth among travelers, and we all agreed we'd chosen well.

Just standing against the rustic yet stylish real stone wall and striking a light pose gave us a natural feel you can never fake in the city, and the shots under the big, old hackberry tree, with the wind blowing, came out so fresh and pretty that all six of us cheered the moment we saw them.
Are the indoor studio props enough for 6 people?
The indoor studio at Eoeum-ri Photo Studio is clean and pleasantly kept, with plenty of props like classic chairs, cute bouquets and witty glasses. After happily finishing the outdoor shoot, the indoor session that followed was one wow after another.

With such a variety of props, even six people could shoot varied setups showing off each person's personality, without getting in each other's way.

Was a big group shoot awkward?
The photographer led the mood with funny jokes throughout, so even in a six-person group shoot the awkwardness melted away like snow. Thanks to that, we captured our most natural, bright, real smiles.
Honestly, I was worried, since group shots are hard to frame and someone always ends up with closed eyes or an awkward look. But once we got the edited photos, the Bojeong (retouching) of skin tone and facial features was subtle and polished, and every friend said they were completely satisfied.
We visited thanks to a special opportunity, but the high-quality service and the emotion it gave us more than made the time and effort worthwhile, and I felt as rich in heart as if I'd made a happy personal investment.

After experiencing a place where the polish of an indoor studio and the natural mood of the outdoors coexist so perfectly, I kept thinking of my parents back home the whole shoot. This Aewol studio is somewhere I definitely want to come back to, next time with the whole family, for a warm family portrait.

Eoeum-ri Photo Studio: overall verdict
Eoeum-ri Photo Studio was a great Aewol studio for groups like friends or family who want to capture Jeju's seasons and moments of friendship as natural snaps. Overall, it was a top-notch oasis of mood where you can keep one-of-a-kind photos at a reasonable value.

From the easy-to-reach, quiet location to the photographer's excellent direction that lovingly catches fleeting expressions and the solid lineup of props, everything came together perfectly. If you visit with people you love, you'll get no-fail keepsake shots, and I'm grateful for that. 🥰

If you're planning a snap tour along western Jeju with dear friends or family over an upcoming holiday or weekend, I strongly recommend keeping Eoeum-ri Photo Studio in mind and paying a visit! 🌟
