Guro weekend friends' bar for boneless rose chicken feet: Eulji Pocha

I'd heard that the food at Eulji Pocha is surprisingly good these days, so last weekend I went to the Guro Digital Complex branch with a friend. We ordered the boneless rose chicken feet and it was better than I expected, so I really want to recommend it 🤭

It's not just a place to drink. There are song requests, claw machines, dalgona (honeycomb candy) games and more, and we played without noticing the time. Here's my story of Eulji Pocha, a Guro bar I'd also recommend for company dinners.

Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch is at 12 Dijiteol-ro 32na-gil, Guro-gu, Seoul, ground floor, on Gudi's Kkalkkal Street, about a 5-minute walk from Guro Digital Complex Station. It's open daily from 17:00 to 06:00 the next day (last order 05:00). There's no parking, so I'd suggest a nearby building's lot.

What's the atmosphere like at Eulji Pocha in Guro?

Eulji Pocha Guro is a lively pocha decorated in the retro style that's popular right now. The first thing I felt when I walked in was the energy!!! It even felt like an old-fashioned street tent bar.

The tables are spaced generously, so it looked fine for group gatherings and company dinners too. I imagine office workers come on weekdays; since I went on a weekend, there were lots of friends and couples ~~!

The menu is varied, and we ordered the boneless rose spicy chicken feet ◡̈ I'm a bean sprout and bunmoja lover, so I added both 🤍 For drinks, Saero omija!! I couldn't decide between that and Saero daraae (hardy kiwi), and ended up trying the omija.

What does Saero omija soju taste like?

Saero omija was a fruit soju with no bitterness at all. Omija (five-flavor berry) and daraae flavors are rare, and I hadn't tried them yet, so I ordered it right away haha. When Soon Hari came out back in my college days it was a revolution, and fruit soju keeps getting better… this one really has zero bitterness…!

How do Eulji Pocha's boneless rose chicken feet taste?

Eulji Pocha's boneless rose chicken feet pairs the smooth, nutty taste of rose sauce with the spiciness of chicken feet. Here's the boneless rose chicken feet I ordered ~!

I usually like chicken feet, so I ordered with high hopes, and it was way better than I'd thought 🤤 The smooth, nutty rose sauce and the spicy chicken feet went well together, and being boneless made it easy to eat. (I like the rose from Yeopdduk, Taeri Rose and Ddeokgunie.)

A gas burner came with it too, which was nice.

Should you add bean sprouts and bunmoja to the chicken feet?

The bean sprouts and bunmoja I added to the boneless rose chicken feet were a stroke of genius. I'm a veggie person, so the generous bean sprouts were great, and the bunmoja soaked up lots of sauce so I kept reaching for it!! I'd definitely recommend adding bunmoja 🤍

Honestly, while eating I thought, "I'd like to get this to go and eat it at home later." It's good as a drinking snack and works as a meal too.

Claw machines and dalgona games with your coins

At Eulji Pocha you get coins when you order food or drinks, and you can use them to play games like the claw machine or dalgona. It's rare to find events like this at a bar, and it was so much fun….🩷

The waiting time wasn't boring, and betting against my friend got the mood even more lively. What impressed me was that it's an event pocha with things to play, not just a place to drink 🤭

Is Eulji Pocha Guro Digital Complex Branch worth a return visit?

I visited Eulji Pocha Guro just for the atmosphere, but the food was much better than I expected, so I was very satisfied. It was a day of playing hard with a friend for the first time in a while haha. The boneless rose chicken feet in particular had us saying "so good" the whole time 🤭

If you're looking for a different kind of bar near Guro Digital Complex Station, the late hours make it a great Gudi round-two spot for a starry night out. Next time I'll go back and try other dishes :)
