Where is TONI&GUY Daechi, and can you park?

TONI&GUY Daechi is a hair salon near Hanti Station at 9 Seolleung-ro 64-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, 6th floor, about a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Hanti Station. The car park behind the building gives you 3 hours of free parking. This time I went to this Hanti Station salon for a Kérastase head spa.

The building has a Hanam Dwaeji-jip (pork restaurant) on the ground floor, so it was easy to find even on a first visit. Since 3 hours of free parking is provided, driving there felt stress-free. It's open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and closed only on the last Monday of the month, so it's convenient almost any day. Pets are allowed too, so you could even bring your dog along during your treatment at this Daechi salon.

Salon atmosphere and private room

The layout at TONI&GUY Daechi is spacious, so the whole place felt pleasant, and the waiting area was roomy enough to wait comfortably. There's also a private room, so I'd recommend this Hanti Station salon to anyone who wants a quiet treatment.

How much is a Kérastase head spa near Hanti Station?

At the time of my visit, the Kérastase head spa at TONI&GUY Daechi was ₩59,000 as a one-time trial price. Salon head spa prices vary wildly, so being able to try a Kérastase head spa at this price without much worry was great value.

How does the scalp consultation before the head spa work?

At TONI&GUY Daechi you can also have your scalp photographed with a scalp microscope during the consultation, but I skipped the photo this time. Instead I filled out a questionnaire covering my current scalp condition, sensitivity and hair concerns, and the head spa was then tailored to my condition.

What are the steps of the Kérastase head spa?

Step 1: Sea salt scrub

The first step was a scrub containing sea salt. It gently removed dead skin, buildup and leftover residue from my scalp and hair. The scrub granules honestly felt like coarse salt, and it felt cool and refreshing.

Step 2: Choosing a Kérastase shampoo by scalp type

TONI&GUY Daechi has 4 Kérastase shampoo lines: oily, sensitive, root strengthening, and combined scalp and hair care. I chose the one for sensitive scalps. Before shampooing, the designer showed me the ingredients and explained why this product suits a sensitive scalp, which made me trust this Hanti Station salon even more!

Step 3: Pressure-point massage and shampoo in a massage chair

The shampoo room at TONI&GUY Daechi has a screen you can raise and lower, so it felt private. You can choose between a regular chair and a massage chair for the treatment, and I picked the massage chair. Getting a chair massage, a pressure-point scalp massage from my designer and the head spa all together was real relaxation time.

The designer's shampooing skills especially stuck with me. Usually they just tilt your head back slightly to rinse the back of the head, but here she turned my head to each side and rinsed every corner carefully, so I felt much fresher afterwards.

Step 4: Soothing mask and hydrating essence

The head spa ended with a Kérastase soothing mask to calm the scalp and a Kérastase hydrating essence. My scalp stayed moist afterwards, and the scent lasted a long time. I loved that!

How is a salon head spa different from a scalp care center?

What I liked about the head spa at TONI&GUY Daechi is that you get a blow-dry and styling too. At many specialist scalp care centers you have to dry your hair yourself afterwards, but a salon head spa dries it for you, which is much more convenient and satisfying.

Many salons still dry your hair without a face guard, but TONI&GUY protects your face, so no water splashed onto it, which was nice. My designer explained everything kindly from start to finish, and even told me in detail how to keep up the results with home care after the scalp clinic :)

What is the summer event at TONI&GUY Daechi?

At the time of my visit, TONI&GUY Daechi was running a debut event for my designer: 50% off perms and dyeing, and ₩5,000 off a cut or blow-dry. It looked easy on the wallet!

A summer head spa event was also running, so if you have summer scalp worries like an oily scalp, crown odor, hair loss care or an off-balance oil and moisture level, trying Kérastase scalp care at this Hanti Station salon at the event price could be a good idea :)
