I'm at the hotspot near Gyodae Station that's famous for its coffee and desserts, Mini Male Coffee Roaster Gyodae Court Branch. The coffee is sooo good that I came back again! This time it's the Court Branch, haha. The area is full of courts and government offices, so even on a weekend I saw lots of office workers in suits grabbing takeout coffee.

If you go to Mini Male, the first thing I'd recommend, no question, is the signature Helsinki Latte. They say the recipe is a life-changing latte they found themselves in Helsinki, Finland, and it became Mini Male's one-of-a-kind signature. Apparently they tracked it down themselves.

It's much smoother than a regular latte, with a gentle sweetness and nuttiness that fills your mouth. One sip and you keep thinking about it, super addictive! I came for it again today. 🥛

Does Mini Male bake its desserts in-house?

The handmade New York cookies and fresh cream scones at the Court Branch aren't delivered from somewhere else. The owner mixes the dough and bakes them right in the shop, real homemade bakery stuff. Turns out it's a dessert hotspot too. The recipes are Mini Male's own. 🥐 Sugar recharge complete!

Mini Male's cookies are the textbook crisp-outside, soft-inside! The cookies are so thick, hahaha. The soft orange pound cake goes perfectly with the specialty Helsinki Latte~~! If you love desserts, try them together as a must-do combo!

Crisp outside, moist inside: you take a bite, then the latte washes through your mouth and goes down~~ I'm happy the whole time, haha 🥰 And they're handmade desserts, mixed and baked fresh in the shop every day~~ >,< that makes me nod along. Really, really good 😭👍

Is Mini Male Gyodae Court Branch good for a blind date or studying?

The Court Branch has a simple, modern black-and-gray interior with soft, warm indirect lighting, so it suits blind dates and laptop work. It looks small, but the big picture window means it never felt stuffy.

Thanks to the soft, warm indirect lighting, it's also a lovely place to relax quietly if you bring a tablet or laptop to work. ☕️

Oh, and it's good for a blind date too. I'd suggest coming here as your second-round café after dinner. The lighting is gentle, the mood is hushed overall, and I felt really at ease the whole time I stayed.

There's also a cute outdoor terrace, nice for a short stay, and it looks like a good spot for a low-key chat.
