Gumi roastery café with orange coffee and patbingsu: Good Things Gumi

Looking for a large, good-vibe cafe in Indong, Gumi? For a cafe, the coffee matters, but so does a spacious, comfortable setting worth lingering in — that's what makes me want to come back. And when the seasonal menu changes and still tastes great, my feet just naturally head that way.

Good Things is exactly the kind of place I found myself revisiting. Even on a repeat visit, the atmospheric space was as good as ever, and I got to enjoy both the signature orange coffee and the patbingsu (shaved ice with sweet red beans) that's a must in summer. Today I'll walk you through the vibe at Good Things, the large cafe in Indong, Gumi that's great for a date, along with reviews of the orange coffee and patbingsu.

Where is Good Things Gumi and is there parking?

Good Things is on the 1st floor of the VT E-corp Building on Indong21-gil in Gumi, and there's parking behind the building. It's just a short way in from the main road, and easy to find if you punch it into navigation. Go through the alley next to the entrance and you'll find the parking lot.

There's parking behind the building, but it's a bit tight, so keep that in mind.

Interior vibe and seating at Good Things

Inside, Good Things is a large cafe structured into stylish zones. Walking in, you're greeted with a really tasteful interior.

Each zone has its own stylish, cozy mood, which puts me in a good mood every time I visit.

Good Things, the large cafe in Indong, Gumi, uses beans they roast themselves and offers an optimized blend, apparently.

This gallery-like space felt really charming too. Every time I've come, other guests have been sitting here — but since I arrived at opening, it was empty, so I could take a photo.

There's also a long group table, so it's a good spot for gatherings.

The inner seats have outlets too, so it looked like a good spot to spend time with a laptop. I'm thinking I might come back next time with my laptop for some quiet time.

There's a photo zone at the entrance too, so it's worth snapping a picture there.

True to being a roastery cafe, they also sell drip bags and beans.

There are baby chairs too, so it looked good for coming with family.

Good Things menu lineup

Good Things has brewing coffee menus, regular machine coffee menus, and non-coffee and tea options. Prices range from ₩5,000 and up, in various tiers, so check the photos for details.

Cake slices and egg tarts can be chosen after seeing them in the display case. Since I visited at opening time, the egg tarts weren't out yet.

How do the orange coffee and patbingsu taste?

Good Things' signature menu is the orange coffee. This time, I ordered the signature orange coffee. I could see it being brewed with a drip coffee mano machine.

A little while later, my order arrived.

On hot days like these, shaved-ice patbingsu really hits the spot. It comes with crunchy, cool shaved ice, sweet red beans, and rice cakes too.

Scooping it up with a spoon, the happy sweetness put me in a good mood right away.

Inside the specialty brewing coffee is house-made orange syrup. And on top, there's a generous layer of soft cream.

The dense, chewy cream carried a deep flavor, and the brewing coffee with orange syrup added had a distinctive taste.

Two cake slices

Since I arrived at opening and there was no egg tart yet, I ordered two cake slices instead.

The grapefruit earl grey cake, with its sweet-bitter grapefruit flavor blending in,
