Hi, I'm Meokkonolgo, a travel and food blogger. Today I'm introducing a place that's genuinely famous in Beopsu, Haman — Jogane Sotbap. This is the spot where you get to enjoy a really generous spread alongside sotbap (stone-pot rice), so it's super popular. Definitely make a reservation before you go.

What I really liked about this Haman Beopsu favorite is that it's not a place with a huge menu — it's a single-item sotbap menu, so there's real expertise behind it. The set comes with bossam, jeyuk-bokkeum, and grilled fish, all the dishes we usually love, so it's bound to please just about anyone.

Spacious dining hall and group tables at Jogane Sotbap

This Haman Beopsu restaurant also has a spacious interior, so there's no sense of feeling cramped. Group tables are scattered throughout too, making it a great spot for group meals in Beopsu-myeon.

The interior of this Haman Beopsu restaurant is also clean, which I loved, and the tables are spaced generously apart so you can eat comfortably.

This Haman Beopsu restaurant cooks the sotbap right in the dining hall, which felt very hygienic, and the smell of rice cooking really stirred up my appetite.

Ordering the 14,000-won sotbap set for two

Menu board at Jogane Sotbap

We ordered the sotbap hanjeongsik for two, at ₩14,000 × 2. This restaurant has two menu options, sotbap hanjeongsik and jeongsik, and the difference between them is basically sotbap versus plain rice, so keep that in mind.

This is the sotbap hanjeongsik, the signature menu of Jogane Sotbap, this Haman Beopsu restaurant. At just ₩14,000, the spread is incredibly generous, and with the sotbap included, it's a menu that everyone from young to old can't help but love.

Side dishes: buckwheat pancake, japchae, tofu kimchi and yeolmu kimchi

These are the basic side dishes that come with the sotbap hanjeongsik at this Haman favorite. The side dishes are served neatly and each one tastes great. I especially love buckwheat pancake and japchae (glass noodle stir-fry), so I was thrilled to see them included.

The tofu kimchi and yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi) were also really appetite-stirring, completely clean-tasting and delicious.

Bossam and two kinds of grilled fish

Then there's bossam (boiled pork wraps) and grilled fish — the bossam has no off flavor and tastes great. There are two kinds of grilled fish too, and though small, they're savory and delicious.

Jeyuk-bokkeum, doenjang jjigae and freshly cooked sotbap

The sotbap hanjeongsik at this Haman Beopsu restaurant also comes with jeyuk-bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork) and vegetable wraps, and this was really tasty too. The doenjang jjigae is savory and salty, a total rice-thief. And then there's the freshly cooked sotbap — I'd say it's a perfectly complete spread.
