Why Yukrab Jongno works for a group dinner near Jonggak Station
Yukrab Jongno near Jonggak Station is a charcoal beef restaurant where you can pair beef with wine too. There are so many offices around Jonggak, so plenty of people are looking for a place for after-work dinners or gatherings. Instead of just a plain samgyeopsal (pork belly) company dinner, I wanted somewhere a bit more atmospheric where I could have beef with wine, so I went to check out Yukrab Jongno.

Honestly, when I heard beef and wine together, I was a little worried about the price first. But when I saw the wine price here, I asked again just to make sure.
"Wait, is this the price for one glass, or one bottle?"
A bottle of wine was ₩18,000.

Does Yukrab Jongno have private rooms?
Above all, instead of that typical BBQ spot feel where tables are crammed together, there are plenty of private room seats great for gatherings or company dinners! Both private rooms and regular tables are available, so it's a good spot for small group meetups or chatting with coworkers over a meal!
What's on the Yukrab Jongno menu

Side dishes served with the beef at Yukrab Jongno

Kimchi, garlic-onion braise, garlic sauce, makchang (beef intestine), wasabi — all the sides that go great with meat come out in really generous portions!

And when you order meat, grilling vegetables like zucchini, mushroom, and green onion come as part of the basic spread~ Throwing the veggies on the grill while cooking the meat and alternating between them was so much better. Especially after eating a fatty cut, having a grilled green onion or mushroom really resets your palate!
Beef grilled fresh over charcoal at Yukrab Jongno

There's a charcoal brazier set up right in the middle of the table, so you can grill it to whatever doneness you like on the spot.

The first bite was tastiest simple — just with salt or wasabi. I'd recommend tasting the meat's own savory flavor first, then dressing it up however you like after that.
Beef and 18,000-won wine: the pairing to order

A bottle of wine for ₩18,000 — I couldn't resist! It also tasted clean, so it went well with the beef~ If you're the type who wants wine instead of soju or beer at a BBQ place but felt hesitant ordering an expensive bottle, try ordering comfortably at Yukrab~
Is Yukrab Jongno a good group dinner spot near Jonggak Station?

It's hard to pick a company dinner spot on taste alone, right? You end up weighing accessibility, seating, menu options, and drink prices all together. Yukrab had a solidly good balance across the board~
