Autumn brunch for two by the river in Daegu: Hands Coffee Dongchon

Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is a large brunch café on floors 2 to 4 beside the river at Dongchon Resort in Dong-gu, Daegu. On a clear autumn day two of us ordered the Hands House Brunch + 2 Long Blacks set and added the creamy mushroom pasta at a third-floor window seat, where the ciabatta, house-made wurst sausage and rich cream rigatoni felt like breakfast at a resort abroad. Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch is an easy place to pair a riverside walk with a long brunch.

Daegu lamb skewer restaurant, 20 sirloin servings a day: Yangbokjeom

Yangbokjeom Dongdaegu Station Branch is a lamb skewer restaurant in the food alley by Dongdaegu Station in Dong-gu, Daegu. A married couple ordered wangkkochi (jumbo lamb skewers), the lamb sirloin skewers capped at 20 servings a day, yangdduibap (lamb fried rice) and okmyeon (corn noodles), and the skewers were thick with no gamy smell, so they added a second plate. Yangbokjeom's yangdduibap tasted better here than at other branches, making this branch worth a trip for anyone after lamb without the funk.
