Gwangjang Core, Daegu: beef rib yukgaejang and mandu at Yukbanjang
Yukbanjang Gwangjanggakoa Gwangko Branch is a yukgaejang (spicy beef soup) restaurant on Dangsan-ro near Gamsam Station in Dalseo, Daegu, beside the Gwangjang Core building. The order was king rib yukgaejang at 17,000 won, red yukgaejang at 11,000 won and meat-potato mandu (dumplings) at 6,000 won, with two whole beef ribs sitting in the broth and chewy dumplings on the side. The spicy, meat-heavy broth at Yukbanjang works both as a hangover cure and as a filling full meal.
