Gyeongju mochi shop with a 10-minute wait, mango yogurt wins
Tareudang is a giant fruit mochi (Hwangnam-mochi) dessert shop on Hwangnidang-gil in Gyeongju, where whole pieces of fruit go inside each mochi. On the way to a gift shop the writer saw the line, waited about 10 minutes, and took away two peach yogurt and one mango yogurt mochi, finding the slime-soft rice cake skin and yogurt cream around the fruit both sweet and refreshing. Mango yogurt was the one pick for the writer and her husband, with the fig and dried persimmon mochi saved for the next trip to Gyeongju.
