Cartless Daegu Okpo wait times: when is it quiet?

In the writer's experience, Cartless Daegu Okpo had a lot of booked cars at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday, so there was a bit of a wait, while 11 am on a Thursday was quiet. The tip: if your job will take a while, go in the morning.

Actually... I left the lug bolt at the center, so I visited Cartless twice, lol. When I booked and came at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, there were lots of booked cars, so I waited a little.

When I came back at 11 am on Thursday, it was fairly relaxed :) If your maintenance will take a while, I recommend taking a half day off and coming in the morning ❤️

One side of the customer lounge at Cartless Daegu Okpo is a big window plus a glass door, so you can sit and watch the work being done, which I love. I'm really into car maintenance, haha.

Is Cartless labor pricing the same as Gongimnara?

The owner explained that Cartless is an auto-service platform brand and its labor fees are the same as Gongimnara. When the writer brought their own parts (Brembo discs) for the swap, the amount actually paid was also the same as at Gongimnara.

My Brembo ♡ hehe. Before booking, I called the owner and said I already have the discs... and he quoted me the standard labor fee, so I went, huh? Is this Gongimnara? He said Cartless is an auto-service platform brand and the labor fee is exactly the same as Gongimnara. The amount I actually paid was the same as Gongimnara too. They say headquarters even manages staff training, so Cartless Okpo, a Daegu car shop, was just right for affordable maintenance :)

Rear disc and brake pad swap: how long did it take?

Replacing one pair of rear discs and brake pads at Cartless Daegu Okpo took about 1 hour, which the writer felt was fast. Two people worked together, and they also checked what could be seen right away while swapping the parts.

It was supposed to rain so I hadn't washed the car, and it was filthy, which was so embarrassing, haha. But they really looked it over carefully.

They had just taken the wheel off, so I went to look at the disc. When they said 30% was left, I kept driving for several more months, lol. The disc is in a terrible state, right? hahaha *sheepish*

A foreign owner and a Korean owner worked hard together to swap the discs. Replacing one pair of rear discs and brake pads, two pieces in all, took about 1 hour, so the maintenance was on the fast side :) It took longer because I kept asking about this and that.

While swapping the rear discs and brake pads, they checked everything they could check right then, and said they'd look at the rest once the car was lowered, haha.

They also explained everything I could see, carefully. Mechanics usually get annoyed when you hover around, but they weren't like that and explained kindly. They worked hard on the discs and brake pads, haha.

Brake fluid change at Cartless Daegu Okpo

After the disc swap, Cartless Daegu Okpo connected a machine to the car and changed the brake fluid by drawing out the old fluid while topping up with new. The old fluid looked cleaner than the writer expected, but they were told its condition was not good.

connect the car to the machine, pull out the old fluid and pour in fresh brake fluid. The old fluid gets sucked into the tank and slowly rises :) Once it's brimming, the new brake fluid goes in glug glug glug.

Haha... I thought the fluid in the waste tank looked cleaner than expected, but they said its condition wasn't good. They said that even if the mileage is under the standard interval, moisture can get in. Even if the brakes grip well and make no noise, a tighter replacement cycle is probably better for the car's lifespan 😃 I changed it right on time, so I feel relieved :)

Would I go back to Cartless Daegu Okpo?

The writer plans to return to Cartless Daegu Okpo soon for a transmission fluid change and rear tire replacement. Booking is easy and two people check the car carefully, so the verdict is that it can be trusted.
