Seolak Chueotang Hwadeok Saenggeongui Mulwang Reservoir Main Branch is a loach soup and wood-fired grilled fish restaurant near Mulwang Reservoir in Mokgam-dong, Siheung, Gyeonggi. The order was chueotang (loach soup), a grilled mackerel set and fried loach (small), served with hotpot rice that was turned into nurungji (scorched rice) at the end, and the restaurant has baby chairs plus a microwave for warming baby food. Seolak Chueotang is a hearty, filling stop for a day when you need to recharge.

Dongyang Sotbap Ansan Main Branch is a pot rice (sotbap) restaurant on the second floor of a building on Yesuldaehak-ro near Ansan Jungang Station in Ansan, Gyeonggi. The writer shared steak pot rice, Wando abalone pot rice, eel special pot rice and kkulkkwobwaro (sweet and sour pork bites) with her mother, husband and baby, and every pot rice arrived with seaweed soup that made the meal filling.
