Badaga Nae Sonagwi is a braised-seafood and seafood-stew restaurant on Suha-gil in Gwangju, Gyeonggi. A couple ordered the Daehwanjang Seafood Set (₩52,000) in mild spice — braised seafood, seafood stew, steamed egg and small boiled whelk — then added fried rice, and the portion was generous enough for three people. The verdict: two diners should order à la carte, while groups of three or more should go for the set.
La Cuesta is a large bakery café on Gyeongchung-daero in Gonjiam-eup, Gwangju, Gyeonggi. A married couple visited on a Wednesday at 8pm and ordered a decaf Americano, a decaf La Cuesta latte, the signature mocha roll and a choco cookie, then took the leftover bread home to eat with milk. La Cuesta stayed quiet even at night and was easy to talk in, and the couple left wanting to return by day for a terrace seat.
