I visited Kotomo Coffee, a brand-new café that just opened at Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station. It's takeout only, so it's easy to pop into while you're passing by, and you get big-size coffee at a budget price. It's new, but it's already popular with office workers around Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station. This time I took home the signature elderflower cold brew and a lemon pound cake.
Where is Kotomo Coffee Yeongdeungpo-gu Office branch?

Kotomo Coffee is a café about a 5-minute walk from Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station. Come out on the Line 5 side and just keep walking along the main road, and you'll find it without any trouble. There are lots of offices nearby, so it's handy for grabbing coffee on the way to work or at lunchtime.

Is there seating at Kotomo Coffee?
Kotomo Coffee's Yeongdeungpo-gu Office branch is a takeout-only shop, so there were only 2–3 tables and no power outlets. It looks built for ordering quickly and taking your drink away. With big sizes and budget prices, I guess that's why so many office workers nearby use it.
Kotomo Coffee menu and prices
The menu was more varied than I expected. A basic americano starts at ₩1,800. The beans taste good too, so it's really great value, right? There's dalgona, brown sugar, milk tea and ube latte, plus ades, juices and iced tea. Smoothies, frappés (Fredo), even cup bingsu (shaved ice)! Pretty wide range for a takeout-only café, isn't it?

Kotomo Coffee signature drinks and desserts
The signature at Kotomo Coffee is the Kotomo Latte, made with aged milk. The chocolate latte is just as good as the latte, which makes sense. The Bongbong cold brew and the elderflower cold brew are the signature coffees, and they also sell desserts such as lemon pound cake, chocolate pound cake and egg tarts.

They pack things simply, so it's fine just for coffee, and it also looks like an easy way to grab an afternoon dessert for the office. I took home the elderflower cold brew, the chocolate latte and the lemon pound cake.
Is Kotomo Coffee's elderflower cold brew acidic?

Kotomo Coffee's elderflower cold brew has a faint floral scent but little acidity, and the coffee itself is mostly nutty. This signature elderflower cold brew was the one I was most looking forward to, and on the first sip the subtle floral scent spread out naturally. Totally my taste. Coffees that push floral notes like this are often quite sour, you know? But Kotomo's elderflower, unlike what I expected, had a nutty coffee flavor at its center.

With so little acidity, it was easy to drink, and the more I sipped, the more the fragrant floral scent came through quietly. It felt special, different from regular cold brew.
What does the Kotomo Coffee chocolate latte taste like?
Kotomo Coffee's chocolate latte was a rich chocolate-flavored latte. It's not too sweet and has a deep style, so I think it tastes closest to Chocoemong (a Korean packaged chocolate milk). As you'd expect from a latte specialist, it was smooth and easy to drink, and the portion was generous. It would be a good order if you visit with a kid.

Does Kotomo Coffee's lemon pound cake go well with coffee?
Kotomo Coffee's lemon pound cake isn't too sweet and is moist, so it went nicely with the elderflower cold brew. Paired with coffee, it was a moist, soft dessert bread, and I could eat it smoothly without any dryness. The lemon scent that spreads in your mouth is subtle and fresh, and it goes well with coffee. A great pound cake spot among Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station cafés.
If you're looking for a place to grab something light to go among cafés near Yeongdeungpo-gu Office Station, stop by Kotomo Coffee. You get big-size drinks at reasonable prices, and there's even an uncommon signature like the elderflower cold brew, which made it special.
