Hyangtaek is a Korean rice-and-side-dish restaurant on Dongbu-ro near Dongdaegu Station in Dong-gu, Daegu. The meal put three orders on one table — samchi gondeure-bap (mackerel with gondeure herb rice), gaji doenjang deopbap (eggplant soybean paste rice bowl) and a thick hanpan galbi (grilled short ribs) — and the banchan arrived slightly differently depending on what was ordered. Hyangtaek is the place that comes to mind when you want a proper, unfussy Korean meal rather than something flashy.
