Dogok-dong charcoal chicken grill with crunchy cartilage: Yanggyegok
Yanggyegok is a charcoal-grilled chicken restaurant in Dogok-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Yangjae Station Exit 3. The writer ordered the Yanggyegok Platter (₩55,000), which brings salt dakgalbi, gochujang dakgalbi, chicken cartilage and deodeok for two, plus bibim mak-guksu (spicy buckwheat noodles), and grilled it all over charcoal: the salt dakgalbi came out with crisp skin and the cartilage had a satisfying crunch. Yanggyegok is a good choice when you want mild and spicy flavors on one table.
