These days, even a single plate of pasta in Hongdae can feel surprisingly pricey. Walking through the back alleys of Yeonnam-dong, I came across a pasta restaurant with prices that were better than I expected.

Most of the menu was just a bit over ₩10,000, and honestly, the prices were the first thing that caught my eye when I opened the menu. Given that Hongdae is right next to a university area, it seemed like a place students could visit without much financial worry.

Pasta Go Hongdae Branch sits a bit further into the alleys, heading from Hongik Univ. Station toward the Gyeongui Line Forest Park. It's not as chaotic as Hongdae's main street, which actually makes it a nice spot for a leisurely meal.

Walking in, the first thing you notice is the bright, clean atmosphere. Plenty of other reviews mention the bright, tidy interior and cute vibe as a plus.

It felt less like a fancy restaurant and more like a casual space where you can comfortably drop in for a bowl of pasta. The relaxed vibe works well for dates, meals with friends, or eating alone, and it matches the price range nicely.

Shrimp aglio olio at Pasta Go for 10,800 won

The main dish I ordered that day at Pasta Go Hongdae Branch was the aglio olio oil pasta at ₩10,800.

It's an oil-based pasta with shrimp, one of Pasta Go's basic menu items.

With the price just barely over ₩10,000, it definitely felt light on the wallet given today's dining costs.

After finishing the pasta, dipping the roll into the leftover oil sauce was honestly really tempting. And since the pasta itself wasn't expensive, it didn't feel like a stretch to add on a side dish.

Why add the 4,400 won side pepperoni pizza?

So I also ordered the side pepperoni pizza for ₩4,400. Looking at the price, I expected it to be a light little extra, but it was more satisfying than I anticipated.

The dough was thin and crispy, so it didn't feel heavy to eat alongside the pasta, and the classic pepperoni topping made it easy to grab a slice here and there throughout the meal. Being able to add a pizza for around ₩4,000 when a single pasta feels like it won't be enough fits perfectly with the idea of budget-friendly pasta in Hongdae. If you're visiting with someone else, it also seems like a good spot to order a few different pastas and sides to share.

Cream churros to finish the meal

After the meal, I also had the cream churros, 2 pieces. Cream churros can be bought on their own for ₩2,400, but I got mine through a Naver review event.

With the churro's signature chewy texture and a sweet cream filling packed inside, it was a nice way to end the meal on a happy note.
