Hodukkakki Brothers (호두까끼형제) Bangbae branch is a dessert café near Naebang Station that sells handmade walnut pie. Pies seem to be a popular dessert gift these days, and I heard this café near Naebang Station had a sugar-free walnut pie, so off I went!

These are handmade walnut pies packed with generous amounts of nuts, so they seem perfect as a dessert gift or a thank-you present. Here we go with my review of Hodukkakki Brothers near Naebang Station!

Location and opening hours of Hodukkakki Brothers Bangbae branch

Hodukkakki Brothers Bangbae branch is at 21-1 Seocho-daero 27-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul, JL Building, Unit 101 (1st floor). It opens at 10:30 every day and closes at 20:00 on weekdays and 19:30 on weekends. There is no parking, but takeout, delivery and reservations are available, and they have Wi-Fi, group seating and Zero Pay.

The shop is a 3-minute walk from Naebang Station Exit 8, right in front of Bangbae Samseong Home Apartments.

Besides walnut pie, they sell handmade pies with all kinds of toppings, like pecan pie, sweet pumpkin pie, Dubai crispy pie and milk cream walnut pie. A great café for a snack or for gifts!

Can you eat in at Hodukkakki Brothers Bangbae branch?

You can sit in the shop, or get your order to go or delivered.

Inside the shop there are seats where you can have pie and a drink, and of course takeout and delivery are available too.

Maybe because it's so hot these days, it looked like a lot of people order takeout or use delivery apps. It would also be a nice place to pick up something with a cold drink.

Pie is of course the signature item here. The 8-slice sets are whole-pie size, which makes them a good size for gifts.

For drinks, they sell coffee as well as ades (fruit sodas), which say summer to me, plus lattes, teas, tea ades and milk tea.

Since you can buy pie by the slice, you can pick a few different flavors to suit your taste.

If you're indecisive like me, I recommend the assorted pie so you can try several flavors of handmade pie!

By the way, they also sell Dubai crispy pie, and I heard it sells out faster than the other pies, so if you want to try it, get there when they open!

Packaging and storage time for Hodukkakki Brothers pies

The pies keep for up to 7 days refrigerated and 30 days frozen, and cream pies for up to 3 days, I was told.

I got the Premium Assorted Pie in the 8-slice whole size to go, and the packaging is so cute, isn't it?

Handmade pies keep up to 7 days in the fridge, 30 days in the freezer, and cream pies up to 3 days. Still, eating them as soon as possible is best!

What flavors come in the Hodukkakki Brothers Premium Assorted Pie?

My recommendation is the Premium Assorted Pie (8 pcs, ₩34,900). It contains 4 kinds of handmade pie, 2 slices each, so tasting them is part of the fun.

The four handmade pies are the Signature Walnut Pie, Original Pecan Pie, Hazelnut Cacao Pie and Macadamia Cheese Pie.

Macadamia Cheese Pie

If you like a rich cheesy flavor, I recommend the Macadamia Cheese Pie. It's moist and nutty, and just wonderful.

Original Pecan Pie

The Original Pecan Pie is loaded with big pecans, so the texture is great when you chew, and it goes perfectly with coffee.

Hazelnut Cacao Pie

If you're looking for a handmade pie with sweet chocolate, I'd recommend the Hazelnut Cacao Pie, which gives you both nuttiness and sweetness.

Signature Walnut Pie

The Signature Walnut Pie, the signature item at this café near Naebang Station, has a crisp pie crust, and I heard it uses oligosaccharide syrup or honey instead of refined sugar, so it seems good as a healthy dessert gift too!
