Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch is a board game café on the 3rd floor of a building near Exit 9 of Nowon Station in Seoul, with weekday unlimited play for ₩5,000. On a weekday off, the writer and her husband played Skewer Master, Da Vinci Code and Splendor, ate churros and sotteok sotteok (sausage and rice cake skewers), and used the hallway arcade machines and PlayStation for free. Hero Board Game Cafe Nowon Branch is a good weekday indoor date spot near Nowon Station for board games and snacks together.

Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch is a 300-pyeong sushi buffet on the 6th floor of the Seoul Oncheon building in Hagye-dong, Nowon, Seoul. The writer booked through Naver Reservation and visited with her husband for weekday lunch (27,900 won), trying thick flatfish sushi, raw Norwegian salmon sashimi, mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), cockle bibimbap, Uljin red snow crab pasta, lamb chops, and mango and crepe cake for dessert. Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had a wait even at weekday lunch, so booking ahead is wise, and it is a spot worth returning to for family meals and company dinners.
