Gizzard shad sashimi to go for a Ttukseom picnic: Yeongjae Susan
Yeongjae Susan is a sashimi shop inside Garak Market in Songpa, Seoul, on the first floor of Garak Mall's sales building, right in front of seafood market gate 6. Craving fall gizzard shad, I got the small Jeon-Gwang-Cham platter (gizzard shad, flounder and sea bream) for 65,000 won to take away, then travelled about 20 minutes to Ttukseom Hangang Park. Yeongjae Susan packed the platter tightly with an ice pack, so the slices barely shifted — a solid takeaway choice for a Han River sashimi picnic.
