Songpa café with salt bread and egg tart: Grid Cafe

Grid Cafe is a bakery café near Ogeum Park in Ogeum-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. I went for an egg tart, but the pollock roe and gamtae salt bread stood out more; the tart was generously filled but sweet for my taste, and few breads or seats remained when I visited.

Korean restaurant in Songpa for raw shrimp sashimi: Wareureu Mansion

Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is a Korean-style pub in Bangi-dong, Songpa, Seoul, where I stopped for a second round after eating on Songridan-gil. I had raw shrimp sashimi and spicy tomato haejang ppeshe; the shrimp’s springy texture and accompaniments stood out, while the hearty broth dish made for a satisfying pairing. The wide table spacing was comfortable for conversation, and baseball was playing on a large screen during my visit.

Songpa Korean restaurant with spicy tomato pasta: Wareureu Mansion

Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is a casual Korean restaurant and drinking spot in Bangi-dong’s food alley in Songpa, Seoul. I visited around 6 p.m. on a Sunday, used the then-current ₩100 draft beer event, and ordered spicy tomato haejang ppeshe and egg bread toast. The ppeshe was generous enough to leave noodles after two people shared it, while the toast was mild and savory.

Korean restaurant in Songpa for daytime draft beer: Wareureu Mansion

Wareureu Mansion Bangi Branch is a Korean restaurant at the entrance to Bangi-dong’s dining alley, about a five-minute walk from Jamsil Station. On a Saturday afternoon, four of us had three dishes and fifteen 300 ml draft beers for about ₩70,000. The sweet-spicy chicken feet suited my taste, and the generous portions left us fuller than expected.
