Gimbap restaurant near Gyodae Station for weekend solo lunch: Halls
Halls Gimbap Main Branch (홀스김밥본점) is a homestyle gimbap and hand-made dakgangjeong (sweet crispy fried chicken) restaurant on Seochojungang-ro 22-gil near Gyodae Station in Seocho, Seoul. On a weekend afternoon the writer ate alone, ordering the Double Cheese Egg Set and the Jindo Scallion Tuna Gimbap at the kiosk and then asking at the counter to leave out cucumber and other vegetables. The wide dining hall and outdoor tables made solo dining feel easy, and the bonito broth is self-serve.
