Bored & Hungry Mapo is a handmade burger restaurant on Gwangseong-ro 6-gil in Mapo, Seoul, near Gyeongui Line Forest Park. After leaving work early and strolling Gyeongui Line Forest Park, two of us shared the Shrimp O.G, the O.G Champion Burger, corn ribs and a Salt&Pepper Virgin Shake at Bored & Hungry Mapo and finished every bite. Verdict: at Bored & Hungry Mapo, always order a milkshake with your burger.
Nahonsha is a solo-induction shabu-shabu and sukiyaki restaurant on Dokmak-ro in Mapo, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Hapjeong Station. Ahead of a gestational diabetes test I ordered the chicken-based clear broth with potato sujebi (hand-torn dough dumplings) added, while my husband had the miso broth with extra meat and porridge; vegetables and noodles come as standard and prices start at 14,900 won. With one induction stove per seat and strong air conditioning, Nahonsha makes hot pot easy even on a summer evening.
