On a day I got off work early, I was walking through Gyeongui Line Forest Park (Gyeongui-seon Sup-gil) when I got hungry, and that's how we ended up at the burger place Bored & Hungry Mapo (보어드앤헝그리 마포). To celebrate leaving early!! Where should we go for a date? We decided on the Gyeongui Line Forest Park area, which seems to be kind of up-and-coming these days~! We have to enjoy nature before it gets even hotter!!!

After enjoying nature, we got hungry, so I looked up Bored & Hungry. Lately,, I'm completely obsessed with handmade burgers and I've been going around like I'm clearing dojos. Once you fall for the charm of handmade burgers, there's no way out!!!!!!!!

Is there a wait at Bored & Hungry Mapo?

Bored & Hungry Mapo has a Catch Table waiting device, so it seems there's a wait at busy times. Luckily we went when it was empty, so we got in right away!!!

The exterior was seriously hip. And Bored & Hungry isn't only in Mapo, it also has a branch in trendy Seongsu! That's how popular it is~~~

Bored & Hungry Mapo is at 36 Gwangseong-ro 6-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul (1st floor), open daily from 11:00 AM to 8:50 PM. Break time is 3:50 PM to 5:00 PM, and last orders are at 3:10 PM and 8:10 PM, so keep that in mind~!

Delivery and takeout are available too! Oh, and there's a restroom right next door, and it was clean and well kept, which made me really happy.

Does the inside of Bored & Hungry Mapo suit a date?

The inside of Bored & Hungry Mapo is decorated in a kind of Western style. From the outside of the building to the inside, it's all so trendy that it feels like a really good place to come for a Sinchon date burger.

Is the Salt&Pepper Virgin Shake a must-order?

If you come to Bored & Hungry Mapo, a milkshake like the Salt&Pepper Virgin Shake is an absolute must. It wipes out the richness of the burger, so the combination turned out surprisingly good.

The Salt&Pepper Virgin Shake came out first. When I looked up reviews, everyone ordered a milkshake, so I got curious and ordered one,,,, and later I understood why everyone does. You came to Bored & Hungry? You have to order the milkshake. It honestly goes great with the burger!!!!!!!! It kind of wipes out the richness. Only people who've tried it will understand, sob

Shrimp O.G and O.G Champion Burger: how they look and taste

Bored & Hungry Mapo's signature Shrimp O.G has a really thick fried shrimp, and the O.G Champion Burger has two beef patties stacked on. Ta-da, the burgers are finally here! The look alone,,, was enormous,,, my boyfriend and I were both shocked the moment we saw them.

First up is the Shrimp O.G, the signature menu item at Bored & Hungry, our Sinchon date burger spot. See how thick the fried shrimp is?

And this is the O.G Champion Burger, said to be the recipe that won the 2022 Good Morning America best burger award. It has two beef patties on it.

What are corn ribs?

The corn ribs at Bored & Hungry Mapo are a side of corn cut up like ribs. I wondered why they're called corn ribs, and it's corn on the cob served like ribs! The seasoning and sauce combination can't possibly taste bad.

Cut the thick Shrimp O.G before eating

The fried shrimp in the Shrimp O.G is really thick, so I moved it onto a plate and cut it up, and with the juicy shrimp too,, it's a combination that can't possibly taste bad.

O.G Champion Burger with a milkshake

The O.G Champion Burger was a combination of beef patty and cheese. My boyfriend said it's just perfect to take a bite of this burger and then a sip of the milkshake. A milkshake to cut the richness of the patty!

Why I recommend Bored & Hungry Mapo for a Sinchon date burger

My boyfriend and I cleared everything, even the corn ribs, at Bored & Hungry Mapo. From the building's exterior to the interior and the menu, we were happy with it all, so it's a great pick if you're looking for a Sinchon date burger. Next time we date nearby, we'll come back to eat here.
