Euljiro Chinese bar with mala skewer hot pot: Baegyeonhonghwa
Baegyeonhonghwa is a fusion Chinese bar and restaurant on the second floor at 15 Chungmuro 5-gil, near Euljiro3-ga Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. The writer and a friend ordered mala kkochi jeongol (mala skewer hot pot) and mapo cream pasta, alternating between the numbing broth and the thick cream sauce over drinks, and received a candy pick for booking through Naver plus free shabu-shabu meat for writing a review. Baegyeonhonghwa is a good choice when you want something more interesting than the usual jjajangmyeon or jjamppong for a night of drinking in Euljiro.
