I stumbled into Selecto Coffee while looking for a café near Sinnonhyeon Station! Gangnam and Sinnonhyeon have so many cafés that picking one is always a struggle. This one turned out much better than I expected, thanks to its quiet mood, roomy seating and comfortable space, so I wanted to introduce it :)
I'd especially recommend it to people looking for a place to study or work on a laptop, and to anyone who wants a long chat with a friend.
Is Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch easy to reach from Sinnonhyeon Station?
The branch is close to Sinnonhyeon Station, so access is really good. It's handy for a quick stop when you arrive a bit early for an appointment, and an easy choice for a coffee after a meal.

It's also close to Gangnam Station, so I thought it would work well after shopping or a date. Cafés near stations are usually packed or noisy, but Selecto felt relatively relaxed.
Is Selecto Coffee a good atmosphere for studying and laptop work?
Overall the café feels clean and comfortable, so it was great for studying alone or working on a laptop. Seating and atmosphere are among the things I care about most when choosing a café, and this place impressed me on both.
It's fine for reading or studying on your own, and just as easy for chatting with a friend. I saw quite a few people working on laptops and many studying, so it felt like a café where you can focus.
Many cafés these days play music too loudly or squeeze the tables together, so I liked that I could spend my time here fairly comfortably.
Warm coffee and dessert at the window seat
At Selecto Coffee I ordered a cup of warm coffee and relaxed at a window seat. You can't skip the coffee when you're at a café, right? Time went by much faster than I expected.
It made me realize how precious it is to have a place to rest for a moment in a busy life. Adding a dessert to the coffee made it even more satisfying, and the conversation naturally got longer.
Why I want to go back to Selecto Coffee among Sinnonhyeon cafés

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch has access, atmosphere and comfort all covered, so it made me want to come back. Search for Sinnonhyeon cafés these days and tons come up, but not that many are places you actually want to revisit.
I thought it was an easy, no-pressure space for times like these:
- When you want some time to yourself
- When you want to study quietly
- When you have laptop work to do
- When you want to chat comfortably with a friend
If you're looking for a café near Sinnonhyeon Station, it's worth a visit. It gave me a little breather in the middle of a busy day :)
Is Selecto Coffee okay for staying a long time?
What I liked most about Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch personally was the comfort. Popular cafés these days often have pretty interiors but uncomfortable seats, or are so crowded that it's hard to stay long, right? Selecto, though, had an atmosphere where time passes naturally.
I scrolled my phone with a coffee, read a book, chatted with my friend, and suddenly a lot of time had gone by. When you have an appointment near Sinnonhyeon Station you often end up with awkward spare time, and this felt like an easy place to drop in then.
The interior is kept clean overall, so it was pleasant to use, and it doesn't feel awkward at all to come alone, so I'd recommend it to people who enjoy solo café time (honkaf).
If you want a relaxing coffee around Gangnam or Sinnonhyeon, need a quiet place to work, or want a comfortable talk with a friend, you'll probably be happy here! Next time I'm near Sinnonhyeon Station, I'd love to stop by again and spend some unhurried time :)
