Jongno 3-ga bakery trio: white bean, cheese & garlic bread, Munhwa

If you're around Jongno, browsing bakeries is half the fun, right?! This time I picked up garlic bread, white red bean bread and cheese bread 🧀 as snacks from Munhwa Bakery (문화제빵) in Jongno and took them home 🖤 It's by Exit 7 of Jongno 3-ga Station, so you can find it easily :3

Here's the outside of Munhwa Bakery :) I stopped by while visiting Jongno 🥖 It has that homey, friendly bakery feel~! It's also a good spot to grab some bread to go, so if you're looking for a bakery in Jongno, it's worth a stop 🖤

Is it spacious inside Munhwa Bakery?

The inside is on the small side, so only two groups could go in at a time~! Once inside, it was fun to look over all the different breads 🎀 🥐🥯🍞🥖

Every bread has its own charm, so I had a hard time choosing 🙄✨ This time I picked familiar, tasty ones: garlic bread, white red bean bread and cheese bread 🧀 ✔️ 🖤

Munhwa Bakery has plenty of breads to choose from ✨ cheese bread with its rich cheese 🧀, white red bean bread (baekanggeumppang) filled with sweet bean paste, and the shop's signature garlic bread 🧄. Picking by your own taste is part of the fun, haha.

There are also distinctive ones like squid ink condensed milk bread, injeolmi (roasted rice cake) bread, mugwort rice cake bread and black sesame bread, so bread lovers will have a tough time choosing 🥖🥐🍞🥯🙄

Garlic bread: garlic aroma, sweet and salty

Munhwa Bakery's garlic bread (₩6,800) adds the distinctive flavor of garlic 🧄 to savory bread, and it was a charming one ✨ The garlic aroma mixes with a sweet-and-salty taste, and I think it goes well with coffee ☕️ 🖤 It's nice to pull one out when you're a bit hungry, and people who love garlic bread's flavor will be happy with it :3

White red bean bread: a gentle, not-too-sweet sweetness

Next is the white red bean bread (₩3,800)~! I love the soft, sweet taste of white bean paste, so I couldn't skip it 🙄 Plain bread 🍞 with sweet paste 🫶🏻 is a combo that's familiar any time you eat it! If you like a sweetness that isn't over the top, it's a good snack :3

Cheese bread: savory and salty

The last bread is the cheese bread (₩5,400) 🧀 Bread with cheese has that savory, salty charm 🫪 It's a different taste from the sweet white red bean bread and the garlicky garlic bread, so buying them together gave me lots of variety 🖤🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍 If you like cheese, it's worth picking at least once :3
