Pizza and beer date near Isu Station: 20-inch half tray at Raymond

Raymond Isu Branch is a pizza and craft beer restaurant near Isu (Chongshin University Entrance) Station in Dongjak, Seoul. On a dinner date, the writer ordered the Raymond Set (49,900 won) — one slice of every pizza on the menu, four slices in all on a 20-inch half tray, with sausage, truffle fries and assorted sauces — plus a blueberry ale (8,500 won). The Raymond Set was filling even for two and suits first-time couples who want to taste several pizzas at once.

Gangnam Station gukbap restaurant, two soups shared: Sinju Okmi

Sinju Okmi Gangnam Branch is a 24-hour gukbap (rice-and-soup) restaurant on Teheran-ro 10-gil, between Gangnam Station and Yeoksam Station in Seoul. The writer and her boyfriend ordered one bowl each — sticky-rice nurungji pork gukbap and the special spicy bracken-fern master's sundaeguk (blood sausage soup) — and shared them, rounding out the meal with somyeon noodles and several kinds of kimchi from the self-serve bar. Sinju Okmi is an easy pick for two people who want to order different soups and compare them.
